Kazakhstan is a fascinating place. I like to read about the unusual. Since watching the "Russian Bear" series, I have been interested in the republics which broke away from the Soviet Union. I have concentrated on reading about the republics in Central Asia, having very little knowledge about that area of the world. Kazakhstan is a huge country but is sparsely populated. It has a lot of problems. It is interesting to study the nomads there. That they drink fermented horse milk, kamise, is ...more
