I think the first three books in the Garfield series are the best because they're the most classic. Jim Davis has created (in my perspective) a true masterpiece. Jon, my favorite character can be so dumb and not even know it. I feel bad for Odie. Garfield beats on him and Odie lets him. I guess Odie is just that stupid. In my opinion, Garfield is just misunderstood. He's a glutton because he loves food and Jon can't hear him when Garfield insults him. Odie is so stupid that he doesn't even care ...more
Stimulating, philosophical, and difficult to read. Only advanced readers, for whom Kant is light reading, should attempt to tackle this literary masterpiece.
I just love the old Garfield comics.. Not the cartoons on TV, just the old 3 or 6 box comic strips.
Just finished Garfield at large - Garfield just met Odie BARK BARK!
It was very funny. lots of fatcat jokes.

James Robert "Jim" Davis is an American cartoonist who created the popular comic strip Garfield. Other comics that he has worked on are Tumbleweeds, Gnorm Gnat, Slapstick, and a strip about Mr. Potato Head. He also has created a Garfield T.V. show that aired on CBS for six years.
