Quick summary
Jamie Kendrick was rescued from the hell known as Stanford Reddington's world by LCR. Dylan Savage was the operative that actually located and removed her the night of the rescue. That night, a permanent unspoken bond was created between the two of them, one he was determined to resist and one she was determined to seal.

What I enjoyed
I've looked forward to Jamie's story since she emerged in the series. Her history was both intriguing and horrific. Dylan also was appealing as I reca
Sweet Revenge was a good book but not great or as good as some of the other books by this author.

Jamie, McKenna's sister went through hell at the hand of a sadistic monster when LCR and Dylan rescued her. After months of therapy and being disappointed by the legal system Jamie is ready for payback and to bring that man and his organization down one way or another, so she gives LCR boss Noah a chance to help her.

Noah doesn't want her in danger but to placate her tells her he will get her trained,

"All intimacy is rare – that’s what makes it precious. And it involves the revelation of one’s self and the loving gaze upon another’s true self – that’s what makes it so damn hard. Intimacy requires honesty and kindness in almost equal measure, trust and trustworthiness, forgiveness and the capacity to be forgiven...It’s more than worth it – just don’t let them tell you it’s BLISS."

Quickie review:

Jamie's initial thoughts about Dylan:
How could one man be so gorgeously handsome, so wonderfully heroic, so seemingly kind, but so incredibly obnoxious, rude and, well, just generally an asshole?

That's Dylan! He has incredible moments of sweetness towards Jamie followed by that damn "hero thinking" - you know how they are - thinking he wasn't good enough for Jamie, she could do so much better than him, and deciding that staying away from her is what's best...for her. I wanted to h

Another great addition. Though I haven't been floored by any LCR books, I've got to say that at this point, I'm very impressed. Each book has stood on its own and each couple is firmly entrenched into my romantic suspense library. (The one in my head) I feel comfortable in Last Chance Rescue world, and it's been nice getting to know all of those involved in the organization.

This one's notable difference was its lack of gruesome rape/molestation. The idea was there, and I knew that the bad guy ha

In a case of mistaken identity, Jamie Kendrick is abducted and abused by a maniac - then sold to another madman for his evil son's pleasure. Dylan Savage, an operative working for Last Chance Rescue serves as her knight-in-shining-armor when he rescues her from Stanford Reddington's grip. Because of his wealth and influential associates, Reddington remains free of all charges. Now Jamie wants revenge for what was done to her, but even more im
The eighth book in the Last Chance Rescue series. I love Christy Reece but this one didn't quite stand up to her usual standards in my opinion. The beginning was slow and it was hard for me to keep reading at times. Thankfully, it sped up about halfway in and I was able to continue and finish it.

Look at that cover. Mmm, mmm, mmm, good! I love those colors together! HAHA I bet you thought I was going to say something else.....

I am sooo excited to start this book tonight! I hear it's the best in the series so far.....

This author can do no wrong in my eyes. It's hard for me to choose which book has been the best so far. My heart will always have Eden and Jordan in the number one spot, but this book is very close to that spot. It was the most heart wrenching book of the series as of yet. I

Jaime Kendrick, was one of the victims in "Last Chance" she was mistaken for another women when she was abducted. When the perverted SOB bastard Hughes realizes she's not the woman he's looking for, he sells Jaime to another pervert, Mr. Reddington. Reddington, gives Jaime to his sick and twisted Son, Lance as his new sex toy slave for him and his friends to enjoy. *shivers with disgust*

This was a hard one for me to get through. It was a fast read but not for good reasons, I mainly just wanted to get it over with instead of enjoying each page and development. We met Jamie in her sister's, McKenna's book, when she was mistaken for her and kidnapped and tortured then sold. I had high hopes for Jamie and Dylan's book, but alas, it was kind of a letdown. I empathize for the both of them individually, how horrible their childhoods were, but together as adults, they were frustrating ...more
More a 3.5 star rating, but rounding up. A 3.5 star by Christy Reece, as another reviewer said, is still a good book by a good author. Her standards raise the bar for many other authors in the Romantic Suspense genre.

This is the eighth of a 10-book series, and many characters reappear. I do recommend the Last Chance Rescue series for those who like this genre, with the caveat that there are some gritty topics and the usual HEA expected, even when the path is not smooth by any chance!
Wonderful story about a woman (Jamie) who is kidnapped and sold to a human slave ring. She is rescued by Last Chance Rescue (headed by the delectable Noah) It is in a heartbeat that Jamie meets and falls for her key rescuer Dylan. And though Dylan feels the same, he has to treat Jamie like just another rescue, his heart is not for the taking. Yet once Jamie heals from the kidnapping and selling (during which some terrible things happened to her - though this is only alluded to by the author and ...more

SWEET REVENGE by Christy Reece

Jamie Kendrick begins her training with Last Chance Rescue (LCR) operative, Dylan Savage. She has a plan of revenge against the evil Reddington who had abducted her, a man who deals in human trafficking. He is a wealthy and powerful man in Spain who up until now has gotten away with his evil deeds. Dylan has been emotionally hurt in the past and continuously fights his attraction to Jamie. Now he is assigned by LCR to train her. He thinks she is not strong enough fo
Another Reece winner! I loved D and J's complicated relationship, Jamie's smart mouth, and her habit of saying off the wall things when nervous. Once again, LCR goes up against the worst kind of villain. Highly recommended!
I love this series.. However, this was not her best work.. .I am halfway through the book and still the hero is hard to like.
A great read with a few surprising insights.

I have been anxious to read Dylan's story for a while. He is the one operative of LCR that has been there with Noah since the first book.

Jamie Kendrick (Mckenna's sister)elementary school teacher, is out for revenge on the man who purchased her for his son's entertainment. She gives up all the information she can on Standford Reddington and his involvement in human trafficking and slavery. He gets away from being prosecuted as there is no proof. She wa

We first met Jamie Kendrick in her sister's book Last Chance. She had been beaten and sold to Stanford Reddington. Dylan Savage was part of the team that saved her.

5 months later Dylan begins to train Jamie to be a LCR operative. Jamie's out for revenge against Reddington as he has gotten away with what he did to her and was still running human trafficking of women business.

Dylan is a very closed off character and has fought his attraction to Jamie all along. But during the training he can no

Although I enjoyed this book alot, I struggled with the beginning somewhat. Purely for reasons that irritated me due to one of the MC’s, Dylan Savage. Seriously, I have days I just want to climb into a book and shake the crap out of some people! Don’t get me wrong though, he’s not a bad guy, he just has a lot of ‘I’m a jerk’ moments….and they are strangle worthy in my opinion. :D

Eighth in the Last Chance Rescue series. The couple focus is on Jamie Kendrick and Dylan Savage.

My Take
This one had my heart in my mouth a few times!

The prologue provides a review of events in Last Chance , so we fully understand why this revenge is so sweet.

This particular story is just another reason why I think parents should be licensed. Talk about perpetuating the cycle!

It's a double obstacle course for Jamie. Dylan expects her to accomplish near-impossible physical requirements. But Jam

Firstly, I have to say that I have found a NEW, AMAZING Author in Christy Reece. And Secondly, I have to say that I might just like Sweet Revenge better than Sweet Justice....or MAYBE EVEN!!

I loved the timeline of Sweet Revenge...The whole story doesn't take place over three days but months. Cristy sucks you in at the first page and then brings you along on a Very Suspenseful, Very Emotional journey with Jamie and Dylan.

I LOVED Jamie as the heroine. She

My Review:
I think that Jamie qualifies as one of my most favorite heroines ever and she is perfectly matched up with Dylan, another one of Christy Reece's amazing heroes from Last Chance Rescue. Jamie is a rescuee that was abducted and abused for two months. BUT she is an extremely strong character. She grew up in a very difficult childhood and learned how to compartmentalize. As a result, she is out for revenge especially after the human trafficker that took her gets off completely from all of

Sweet Revenge was a good book but I wasn’t as captivated by it as I had with the previous books. I think it had to do with the hero, Dylan, being such a jerk most of the book. The heroine, Jamie, went through hell and wanted payback while those close to her didn’t want her in danger. They deceived her by letting her train for something they had no intention of letting her do. She in the end took care of what she needed to do. Still a good addition to the LCR series and worth the read.

wow what a great story... at some point i will learn to expect to want to slap the men in this series so they come to their senses. The hero in this story is another thick headed but fabulously wonderful man. Hero is definitely the best word for him in every sense.
Our heroine is a lady we can all aspire to be. Taking the bull by the horns and making sure that the wrongs done to her cannot be done to another.
passionate and humorous this story was so much fun to read as Dylan digs himself deeper
I finished Sweet Revenge this morning and as expected LOVED IT!

I loved Jamie. She appeared fragile and sweet, but she has amazing internal strength. I also loved her smart ass comments and inappropriate questions. When she asked about Dylan's testicles I burst out laughing! I'm glad no one was around to around to see...I'm sure I looked nuts!

I wanted to thump Dylan more than once. He was so stubborn, refusing to admit his feelings to Jamie. Thankfully, Jamie was a very forgiving woman so when h

The overwhelming circumstances, unbelievable obstacles, passionate pleasures and amazing transformations these two characters go through make Sweet Revenge a fantastic tale. This is such a strong plot as the old adage good versus evil is intertwined throughout the pages with romance, danger and sensational events surrounding it. I love how Jamie is seen as this fragile woman until Dylan finally realizes that beneath her exterior she has unbelievable strength and determination. I would most defin ...more
Now this is more like it! Book #1 - Sweet Justice was a good read, but just seemed to be missing something that I enjoyed so much with the previous 6 books in the series. There was a nearly 4 year gap between reading the earlier books and the start of the "Sweet" trilogy, so I thought maybe that had something to do with it. Book #2 - Sweet Revenge brought it all back to me. Great read to what I remember to being an excellent series.
Good liked her in heroine role, although she made some pretty poor choices. Really liked the training in West Virginia. That was creative. Would have enjoyed more of that developing.
Not too saucy...

Later came the chills of Stephen King and the thrills of John Grisham, but the romance genre always held a strong place ...more
