What happened to the unity that so blessed America after 9/11? Where did our sense of determination go?

I'm sure it's quite biased, but if even part of it is accurate, it's a sad reality. Some of the information/stories I had heard before. The book and most of it's information is pretty recent, so these are things that pertain to our country's current situation. It covers social and political issues and, even though I didn't necessarily agree with everything the author has to say, I still think it was very readable. You might even laugh a bit.

This is a 2003 book so what he is talking about is a few years behind us, but his insights are still relevant. I agree with him on quite a few points, the book is a little uneven but interesting to read. I would read more of his books.
