Here is an interior decoration book of 240 pages, circa 2011. There are a few basic painting and sewing projects included.
This is not a book to read as much as it is one to inspire while looking at the photographs and imagining what one could create in one's own spaces. Sometimes it's good to change one's surroundings, making them Brighter, more Romantic, more Colorful, or going for a Nature-inspired palette. I'm learning as much from observing pictures of the finished rooms as I am from the text of the book.
I especially enjoyed the Nuanced Neutral section. Two years ago I redid our master bathroom in black, white and grey. It is striking, like walking into a black and white photo. It has not become boring- just very restful.

pg. 120 - black with 3 blues, Behr Handsome Hue, Sherwin-Williams Frank Blue, and Benjamin Moore
