I've kept this since I was two-years-old. It really is a big part of my childhood reading. A classic, full of fairy tales of all sorts, and weird and fantastical illustrations.

The ISBN 0-671-08503-4 version I have returns this book but my copy says Marshall Cavendish rather than Simon and Schuster. The stories are reprinted from the popular Story Teller fortnightly part work magazines from the 1970s. This volume has about 75 beautifully illustrated stories. If you search the internet you can find a facebook group dedicated to these stories which are now (sadly) out of print. A few times in the past, the entire collection which included about 400 stories was offered on ...more
