I really loved this book! Her trials after her brother's death left her emotional and scared and she entered into an affair with the ship captain I think to ease her mourning and because she was vulnerable! Then she fell in love but knew it

This is the second Naughty Nibble by Tamara Gill that I have had the pleasure to read. Again I loved it. Again it was HOT. Again, the characters were unique. I, for one, cannot wait for more of Ms. Gill’s work to be published so that I can read them.

This was a Naughty Nibble, so it was a really quick read (only 33 pages). Just in case the blurb for the book doesn’t spark your interest, here are four things you should know before diving into this one:

1. There’s a sea captain turned reluctant Duke

I have to admit, I was sold on Tamara Gill’s A CAPTAIN’S ORDER – A DUKE’S COMMAND the moment I saw the cover. There’s just something sublimely romantic about a tall ship, a rugged sea captain, and a passionate embrace—particularly when the aforementioned embrace keeps you from pitching headlong over the side of the boat into rolling waves. (Talk about breathless!) Throw in the scandal of a forbidden affair—it is not proper, it seems, for an English Lady to frolic with a wayward pirate—and you’ve ...more

Lia's Review

Lady Eloise thought she lost the love of her life when Gabe, the ship’s captain, pushed her away after some of the best love making she could recall. Upon her return to England, she finds herself in Gabe’s arms again, and learns that he’s Gabriel Lyons, the Duke of Dale.

I found the characters and the plot enjoyable. I especially liked Lady Eloise. Although the story was short, I felt like Ms Gill developed her very well. I loved how Gabe’s character had sinned and was redeemed in t

Tamara Gill is a wonderfully skilled writer. Although only eighty pages Gill is able to weave a beautiful love story with characters that you can't help but cheer for in this lovely little story. Gabe is a strong and masculine hero, and Eloise is a heroine that is not afraid to go after she wants. I love a story with a strong female lead and this story delivers. I have never been a fan of historical romance until reading Gill's books. I must admit I just have fallen in love her books and charact ...more

This is a very quick read with the story covering the ground at a rapid pace. The characters are well rounded considering the shortness of the piece and the story, which picks up at what is really the last chapter of a longer tale is finished off quite nicely. It is a fairly hot read which puts it in the erotic category with some robust language. I enjoyed this for a quick dip into a rollicking romance. Not a lot that is new or original but freshly presented and nicely written.

Loved this

Eloise's trip to Australia ends with the death of her brother. Desperate to get back home to England she begs the captain of a ship to grant her passage. He at first is reluctant. But caves in telling her the only place he has is a small closet, next to his quarters. Six months at sea and Eloise finds her attraction to the captain growing deeper. Will she submit to her desire,

an honest review for a book. This book was a great read. The back story Gabe has makes the story a great one. The way they go about dealing with it makes the high of this story. The love these two share is a one of a kind. Eloise and Gabe have a wonderful journey that gives them the love they need to overcome Gabe ' s past coming back to get him when he returns home. This is a must read!

This was the second book of this author's books I read and so can see her writing blossoming smoother with the stories. I plan to re-read and wished I wrote a review when I read it but my notes gave it a A- and "one emotional read on the seas and off". So I must re-read. This is so a new favorite author this year.

Just plain dumb! This is some of the worst writing I have ever been unfortunate enough to have read. Do not bother.

I enjoyed this story and the characters. I just feel like the author missed a perfect opportunity, this story and could have been a full blown book and it would have been awesome!

Good read especially if you don't have a lot of time to read.

An interesting idea for a story, but the novella needs serious editing to be readable and to flow smoothly. Sorry, but I couldn't finish it in its current format.
The author should have written this book in a straight forward timeline. The going back and forth in time detracted from the wasn't even done successfully. The story felt disjointed and fragmented.
