We all know the fairy tale. The handsome prince comes riding up on his white stallion and rescues the beautiful princess from her enchantment with a single kiss. Then they ride off together to live happily ever after. But what if the person longing for that handsome prince is a man himself? And, why not?

3.0 out of 5 stars Least favorite so far, but still good and thought it was an enjoyable read. However, there were some elements that I felt were lacking with plot (some stories much more like pwp) and the stories far to too short.

This collection of 14 contemporary & fantasy fairy tales.

-- The master / Fox Lee 4 stars (my favorite)
-- Augustus Woods and the Prince of Rock 'n' Roll / Aaron Michaels 3,5 stars
-- In a clearing / Rob Rosen 3 stars
-- The prince and the plumber / J. L. Merrow 3...more

In this collection of short stories, Neil Plakcy has gathered some excellent reads that focus on the theme of fairy tales reimagined. The role of “prince” in this book is varied. There are some traditional princes, and there are more modern counterparts, such as rich heirs and oil tycoons. The large variety of stories is sure to please just about anyone, and while I enjoyed all of the stories, I definitely had my favorites.

#1: “The Master” by Fox Lee

An anthology of short m/m erotica all centered on a "prince" theme. I anticipated that this would be more fairy-tale like than it turned out to be. Mostly, I think, because I wasn't aware it was erotica and not romance. It's hard to pull off a fairy tale when you've got so few words to use and have to try to fit a sex scene in as well.

There were a few stories that seemed more successful to me than others. "The Frog Prince," "The Prince of Eisengraf," and "The Virgin Prince and the Rebel Thief" w...more

As with all anthologys, I liked some stories more and some less.
All in all a good read, and an interesting variety on the 'Prince' theme.

I felt like some of the stories were cut short too soon, but that's just testament to how much I enjoyed all of them.

I appreciated the stories...
They were sweet and lovely.
At times, a little too pink and too sweet but still cute if you still believe in the charming prince in his white shining knight!

Most of the stories in this anthology were just too short to really be able to get into any type of story. Several were cute, some were an excuse for a sex scene, and one, The Frog Prince by Josephine Myles, I did love. I listened to this on audio and loved the narrator's voice. Without him, I'm not sure I'd have finished it.

As with all anthologies, some stories were better than others, but the majority of these stories were very good and I'm glad I purchased this book.
