First off, doesn't that book title sound a bit, well, odd, even for an Anita Blake novel? Especially when you consider that until now, all the titles are named for places found within the book.

J'ai été très déçue par ce livre.. Il n'y avait pas grande chose.. Un peu plus de 100 pages dans une police "normale", c'est peu, décevant, pour un volume de la série Anita Blake. J'ai trouvé qu'il n'y avait pas assez d'actions, d'intrigues, de suspens, dans ce tome. Ok, on apprend des choses sur Micah, c'est cool. Mais à part ça, il n'y a rien. Rien! I didn't read the Micah part of this book as I have the seperate copy of it already and will read it where it fits in the series as I go through the books. I bought this copy for Strange Candy so it is the short stories that I'm reviewing here.
I'm not usually a fan of short story anthologies but this set was good. I wasn't as keen on the stories set in her Nightseer world as I didn't enjoy that novel though I did like the personality of the blood blade. It reminded me of a bloodthirsty More...

I've read most of the Anita Blake books but this was a very short novel.I usually find the books either terrible or okay.This book was okay.The main story "Micah" was not very good at all but I did like some of the short stories.

I like Anita Blake and really enjoy Meredith Gentry, so I thought I should try reading Strange Candy. This to me was a really good collection of short stories. The cover was totally inappropriate given the subject matter of the book. I guess it was just for shock value. The comments that preseeded each story was totally unwanted. Collection of short stories featuring a mish-mash including a couple Anita Blake stories and some fantasy and science fiction. Overall an enjoyable collection. I particularly enjoyed the first Anita Blake story.
