The name of the book should have been fast forward. Because everything important was fast forwarded. The author did not write about the parts their relationship grew, their first date, even Chase's first kiss with her, but she wrote and wrote about insignificant patients and their diseases, the details of the job of a nurse and there was even a pharagraph about the best brand of shoes for nurses.
Her failed marriage was also exagerated and very detailed. If it was not so much detailed, we could
Judy & Marianne from Long and Short Reviews
Verbal abuse can devastate a person as thoroughly as physical abuse. The pain of living in a verbal abusive marriage can destroy a person and make them gun shy. In this highly emotional tale, Miranda Harper grabbed my heart from the start and made me ache for her. It was hard not to cry as I read about her abuse and shattered dreams when she realized that she had married a monster. This story takes place before book one of the series. That said, imo it has nothing to do with the rest of the series. While we meet Calleigh in this book and the two become best friends, in the first book Miranda isn't mentioned at all.

I really enjoyed this book like the others, just one thing why did you have to back track with Calleigh, I would thought that if you were going to put her character into the story then she would have been with Rick and Conor especially since in the previous books she was pregnant with their child. Other than that i really enjoyed this book in the seris and can't wait for the next installment.

Might be better to read this before Perfect Union as it takes place while Calleigh is still pregnant with the twins and Kevin is still alive. Although these three are not mention in any of the other book, even in passing, that I can remember
