A book will be judged by its cover, no matter how dumb that is. Unfortunately, this book probably does too good a job of looking like a fairly dull (if brief) self-help tract on a topic that nobody picks up for fun. But the book cover is lying.

This is actually a really lovely book -- a high-satire of medical communication, full of bleak diagrams and numb Helveitca -- wrapped around a set of amusing little character sketches of anxious, depressed people and the things their passive aggressions i
okay I don't know this guy is british I'm just too lazy to check. It was printed in europe and he talks like a british person so I'm assuming, and yes I know what happens when you assume.

goodreads says he grew up near north dakota

This is a book made to make you feel terrible about yourself. it asks you questions like "what is wrong with your life?"

This is a short book so I'm not going to go on about it, but more people should buy it.

Scott King grew up just east of the North Dakota / Minnesota border in Pelican Rapids. He is founder and editor of Red Dragonfly Press.
