Benjamin Wood was a nineteenth-century American politican and newspaperman. He was an editor and publisher of New York city newspaper Daily News from 1860 until his death. Wood was elected to the 37th, 38th and 47th United States Congress. In 1866 and 1866 he was a member of the New York State Senate.
