After reading the first few sentences, I was hooked. I always liked the identity-swapping conflict and anticipating how it'll be resolved. This story was quite unpredictable so that's another plus. While the setting was mostly in Swanlea Park, the characters' wit and banter were exciting enough.

I immediately liked Rosalind! I have a thing for independent, sassy, and sharp-tongued heroines. Aside from her striking good looks and her passion to be an actress, she also has a fancy for loud colors....more

Despite my utter annoyance with Rosalind, the female lead, who I find completely slappable and truly frustrating, I still liked the story overall. Even though I found the secondary leads far more interesting and found myself reading the book for hints of their story (and of course, the setup for the next in this series), the main pair's storyline and conflict and resolution was interesting enough, I suppose.

Since I mostly skip the smexy parts of romance novels (after you've read hundreds of nov...more
Never have I ever more deservedly given a book 3 stars. Let’s do this pro/con style.

Lovely, lively, intelligent, robust, loyal, protective, self-sufficient heroine.
Total asshole, deceitful, easy to anger, belligerent hero.

Use of the word cock!
Use of the word honeypot! :(((

Wonderful side characters. Hell, I cared more about the hinted at romance for the second book than I did this one.
The sex was WAY too dubiously consensual and always seemed to be the hero’s way of shut...more
I started off this series by reading the third book (After the Abduction) and I was intrigued by the comments made by and about Griff and Rosalind in that book. They sounded like an interesting couple. Having finished this book, all I can say is that they are truly one amazingly well matched pair of characters - strong willed, loyal, determined, passionate, and intelligent. Sassy Rosalind matches wits with Griff from their first encounter and they both try to gain the upper hand by quoting Shake...more
This one gets a 3.5 because I really like the author and her writing is very captivating however this time I had a hard time liking the main characters both. The woman was too stubborn and suspicious and the man was selfish and inconsiderate. It ended well but I wasn't thrilled with them for the most part of the story.

I finally finished this book after so long but it was a pretty good read albeit a very slow start.

Iya, ciyusss miapah!

Rosalind is one of three Swanlea spinsters an odd bunch of gals distant from ton. When the trio’s father falls ill he devises a plan to right his wrong, and save his daughters at the same time. Little did the Earl of Swanlea know the man he wronged had plans of his own, and falling in love with one of his daughters isn't one of them. Packed with mystery and romance A Dangerous Love is an adventurous read, with a plot that is constantly unfolding keeping readers on the edge of each kiss...I mean...more

A dangerous Love, salah satu novel historical romance kocak.

The first half of this novel had some promise. Rosalind and her gentleman-in-disguise had good chemistry. There were several threads that seemed to be leading somewhere - the midnight sword fight, the secret passageway, Rosalind's love of bright, bold colour schemes, the strongbox, Juliet's story - and then they never did! Or, at least, nothing had come of them by the time I abandoned the book. The conflict between the hero and heroine really felt more and more contrived and her responses to it...more

2.5 out of 5 rounded up to 3.

A regency version of 'The Taming of the Shrew'. Shrew being the key word here. The heroine Rosalind was a full-bore shrew through most of this book. When she wasn't coming off the rails, she was crying. The hero Griff's wild mood swings were hard to swallow. He uttered some nasty thoughts aloud. That said, it was well written and plotted, but I didn't really connect with either of them. I was not really rooting for their HEA, though Griff was entirely sexy when he wa...more

this is my second attempt at reading this book. while the writing isnt bad, it's the style that just isnt my style. more a comedic romance from the tone. A lot like Lyndsay Sands. Got about a quarter of the way through and just couldnt continue with it. especially since the story could have ended in that first quarter once Lady Rosalind and Griff took the walk through the woods. all could have been said and done and no story was needed. his reasoning for not telling her his end didnt make much s...more

I enjoyed this regency, first of a series of three sisters. Rosalind, the middle one has a passionate nature that matches Griff's (a distant cousin) who visits their ailing father to claim his rightful inheritance and falls for her. He's torn, marry Rosalind or create a scandal and ruin her family? A self made hero, he reminded me of a Lisa Kleypas hero. Not a bad story with lots of Shakespearian quotes throughout. Steamy to boot.

The back cover story is interesting and make me want to read this book, unfortunately the hero and the heroine character not make me want to say they're my favorite. I don't like both of them, they so head-strong.

The story is quite interesting, i enjoy the interaction between the hero and heroine, and i laugh about code 'St Peter', but my opinion is interaction between Daniel and Griff that make me stay to the end of this book. Between the employee and employer they become close friend, and shar...more

Why people are rating this at 1-3 stars i have no idea. i loved this. i've not read many masquerade books, but i thought it was really well done here. Just wondering though, it seems like the girls are really easy, the guys kiss thd girls and the girls spread um, is this what really happened? i thought regency everythin was prim n proper and that there was respect. maybe its just me. what do you guys think?

don't get me wrong, i loved this and all the other books by this author that I've read.

Stlh mentok dg seri Royal Brotherhood, akhirnya nyoba bc SJ-nya Dastan.

Mmmm...gak jauh2 bedalah.Tetep ad kutipan kalimat2 Shakespeare dlm dialog tokoh2 utamanya,acara piknik,nnton teater,n main biliar.

Pertukaran identitas antara Griff n Daniel lmyn bkin tahan mmbalik halaman demi halaman.Meski mendekati bag akhir aku malah main skip2 sj,coz stlh pnyamaran Griff dibuka, rasanya tak ad lg yg bkin greget n senyum2.

Btw,penyebutan 'St Peter' lmyn bkin ngikik.

I love Sabrina Jeffries' books and the start of this series is no exception! I enjoyed every aspect of this novel, from the romance point of view, to the secrets surrounding Griff as he decides to masquerade as his friend, Daniel, in order to search the property he is to inherit -- Swan Park. All in all, I thought it was nicely done and I can't wait to read about Rosalind's sister, Helena in the next!
