Stacey Kennedy has another hit with Whispers of Evil, book two in Stacey’s extremely hot paranormal romance series. This is a fast romance that will have you hanging on to find out how Griffin is going to get Nayeli to give him her heart, bare and exposed (loved that at the end.). You’ll find adventure, action, hot sex, and one scene with voyeurism (that happened in the ceremony) and another scene with spanking. I look forward to reading more in this series in the future. Griffin and Nayeli attend the ceremony of the joining and for immortality. Nayeli determined to do whatever it takes to keep out of the hospital she has spent her life in, she withdraws into herself all the worries, concerns and feelings she has. She now has a family , something she hasnt had for along time, someone to love her and care for her till his last dying breath. Nayeli is strong and courageous and willing to do anything to help out even give her life the demon who whispers to her.

Griffin, is hot, gorgeous and very hot headed, but very much in love with Nayeli, he has never loved like this before and his feelings are very evident and heartfelt. He is determined to help Nayeli out of her shell and move on with life. Show her love, commitment and the value of friends and family and of course real love.

Nayeli has a gift, the gift of hearing the Whispers of evil. With the help of all the watchers and seekers, Nayeli users her gift - hears the whispers, translates them, so they know what the demons are saying and giving them insight as to where they may be located to track them down and kill them.

Another fantastic book in the Whisper series, lots of suspense, action, romance and lusty - loving sex. Storyline fluent, and ran like a steam train, full of lots of good stuff and lots of heartfelt moments between the characters. The characters blended in well, I really enjoy the characters that Stacey has created, each and everyone has their own personal attributes and mannerizms, this I really liked. The men are * hawt* as ever,, I can invisage them in their work out gear or lack of ... I enjoy yummy swoony male characters ! Sensual sexy moments, as well as *hawt* ceremony scene, this part I will look forward to in each book ** wink wink ** . I still blush within myself feeling a tad shocked and shame full for them, but in the book this part is consensual and blends in well with the storyline and Im not complaining its one of the hotest sexy scenes in the book ;) Great storyline, each chapter fluently flowing from one to the next !! Never a dull moment I was intrigued from beginning to end.
I look forward to what Stacey has to offer next in *THE WATCHER* series.

Wow! I was excited to read these two books because I had already read A Warrior's Witch by Stacey Kennedy and completely fell in love with her characters and her writing style, and I was once again totally impressed!
In this series she has created phenomenal characters and has given them a fantastic, well developed plot with a fresh twist on the demon hunter. Her female characters are strong, powerful, funny, passionate, driven to make the world a safer place, sexy, compassionate, and...more My thoughts:
Wow! I was excited to read these two books because I had already read A Warrior's Witch by Stacey Kennedy and completely fell in love with her characters and her writing style, and I was once again totally impressed!
In this series she has created phenomenal characters and has given them a fantastic, well developed plot with a fresh twist on the demon hunter. Her female characters are strong, powerful, funny, passionate, driven to make the world a safer place, sexy, compassionate, and smart. Her male characters are all those same things wrapped in a body to die for, with a sex drive that would make anyone blush, and looking for "the" woman destined to spend eternity with them. Really, who could want more?
Wonderfully written! Exciting to read! She has designed her characters to get under your skin and into your heart, the plot to be heart-stopping and thrilling, combined to leave you unwilling to put the book down until you know that the end is what you are hoping for.

In book one, we see Paxtyn and Knox as the main characters. They are destined to be soul mates and their very lives hinge on one another's existence, but they just can't seem to get it right. It was a laugh out loud, cry for them, emotional rollercoaster from the start. Knox is a Seeker and Paxtyn (unknowingly at first) is a Watcher. Together with the rest of their team/family they hunt demons and attempt to keep mankind safe. Paxtyn is strong willed, independent and not at all sure what Knox is all about. Knox has been looking for his soul mate for an incredibly long time and is completely thrown for a loop when she doesn't seem excited about spending eternity with him. It was fun to watch their struggle and the reactions of the rest of the family, especially when everyone knows how they feel about each other except them. Loads of hot, steamy sex to go along with some discoveries about themselves and each other.

In book two, it is Griffin's turn to find his soul mate; but what he finds in her is a broken shell of a woman who has no true sense of self or self-worth. Stacey Kennedy has once again written a fantastic tale, she is truly gifted! This story is emotion on a stick! Nayeli is an amazing woman; raised with the belief that she was crazy and institutionalized since childhood, Nayeli finds herself in a family who loves and cherishes her while valuing her for her abilities. She has no idea how to cope with any of it after spending the majority of her life believing that she was of no value. This book is more than just the story of a group of super demon hunters and the battle of good versus evil, it is the story of one woman's search to find worth and one man's struggle to help her. I found my heart going out to both Nayeli and Griffin while they forged ahead to conquer not only the demon set on having Nayeli, but to conquer Nayeli's fears and issues before more people die. Not for the weak or sexually sensitive - graphic deaths and hot, hot, hot steamy romance!

Nayeli was kept restrained and drugged into a stupor in that hospital, telling of demons killing people and hearing voices, she wakes up with a hot man standing about her, thinking it to be a dream but then coming to realisation that it is in fact reality. I really love Griffin and how sweet he is with Nayeli, how careful he is. He wants nothing more than to protect her and ease what had been done to her in the past, how badly she had been treated in that mental hospital all alone;

His only concern was her; nothing else mattered except that. “I will be there to protect you. That is my promise to you.””

Nayeli slowly starts to open up and trust where she is and trust that Griffin isn’t going to put her in harms way or send her back to the hospital. When a demon is after Nayeli because of her ability to know their language and the threat it is to them, Knox wants to use her as bait to draw him out but Griffin won’t stand for it, he will not put Nayeli in danger. Nayeli can’t stand the thought of Griifin and the others being in danger because of her, they gave her life back and meaning so she decides to confront Dagon herself, leaving griffin a note;

”Dagon wants me and only me. You’ve given me a life that I’m not sure I ever really deserved. You’ve given me love, and I’ll always be grateful for that. And I failed you all. Now, I’m going to fix it. Forgive me, Nayeli”

Thankfully Griffin and the troops show up in time to save her and Griffin is as pissed as can be. He punishes her, and what a hot steamy punishment it was. This was a freaking great read, I couldn’t stop once I started, it flowed so well and was just perfect.

What can I say, when reading a Stacey Kennedy book you will always find it, hot, full of action, sex scenes that make your toes curl, mystery and love! She has a way of bringing out so many emotions in each book I have read. This book has all these qualities but that is just the Stacey way.

When I read a book, I want a connection and I definitely want to feel something. Most times I get what I’m hoping for but there are those reads that deliver MUCH, MUCH more as it seems they rock me to my very foundation. WHISPERS OF EVIL, hands down, without a doubt was one of those books and it’s only now that I can sit down without having my insides turn to mush and my emotions short circuit. A good read? One of the best.

So what made reading it such a profound experience? As a paranormal romance, it tells the story of a man and woman being brought together, falling in love, overcoming an obstacle to live blissfully happy forever and ever. Right there is enough reason for the romantic junkie in me to throw her hands up in the air, sigh contentedly and proclaim it fantastic reading. But for the emotional junkie that I am, Stacey Kennedy delivered a story that reached in and grabbed my heart, wrote a heroine I deeply connected with and new crush I couldn’t help but fall madly in love with.

WHISPERS OF EVIL is book two of The Watchers series which highlights a couple – a Seeker and a Watcher. With demons running rampant throughout the world, it takes a special person to be able to protect mankind and fight against such evils. Descendants of angels, men called Watchers battle day after day for humanity and must find that special woman, their other half, to help them in their mission. These women are called Seekers and with their own gifts and powers, when paired with these incredible men, make a formidable team. In this story, the couple is Griffin and Nayeli and straight away the reader knows that they’re in for a treat. Breaking into a mental institution to rescue his Seeker, Griffin is blown away with the condition he finds his beloved in. Instantly, he vows to protect her, strengthen her and help her realize the incredible worth she holds. One glance at Griffin and Nayeli believes she is dreaming because never in her wildest imagination would she believe such a sexy man would want her. As he takes her back to the compound where the group lives and as he awakens Nayeli to immortality through a very voyeuristic ritual (which is unbelievably HOT) Griffin soon realizes that his Seeker needs help. She holds herself back, keeps her emotions to herself and he strives to convince her that she is safe, she is loved and she is very much needed.

Frustrations are felt on both ends as Griffin struggles to understand why Nayeli holds back, why she doesn’t respond like those around her to the horrors of demon hunting and Nayeli in turn is unsure what is expected. Her life has been pure torture, a living Hell and in her mind, ANYTHING would be better than going back to the institution. This story was deeply moving as the couple opens up to each other, as they share their vulnerabilities and I was invested hook, line and sinker. Both of them wanted what was best for each other and both were tested. There were moments where I was laughing, blushing and obviously, being the sap I am – sobbing. I rode a rollercoaster with this book and loved every single word of it. It was well written and once again I find Stacey to be very thoughtful in the storylines she gives her characters. She gives them depth and she gives them a sense of realness that I always find so appealing. I’ve loved all of her books but with how I reacted to this story – this would definitely be my favorite.

Nayeli touched my heart deeply. Probably more than most heroines do in the books I’ve read. Where I haven’t known the level of abuse she suffered or the seclusion she lived through, I was familiar with the despair she felt and that overwhelming sense of having to do everything right because she’d rather die than go back to how things were. She was given a glimpse of heaven with Griffin. Here was a man that not only rescued her from her prison, but he cherished her and was gently doing all he could to make her happy. I can only imagine how amazed she must have felt to see everyone so readily accept her and I understood all too perfectly her need to prove herself. I loved those small insights I got to see of Nayeli, to see some of her thought process as she tried to work through things. I laughed at her reaction to joining with Griffin and appreciated her dedication to her newly found duty as Seeker. She was a character after my own heart, I was able to see glimpses of myself in her and I think that’s what helped me identify with her so well. For me that’s the sign of a great character.

Griffin melted my heart. I love alpha males who are sensitive enough to their mates that they look for ways to lighten their burdens. He was so gentle with Nayeli but he was also firm with her, not allowing her past to become a handicap to her. I loved that he was “bigger” than the problems that they faced. He was someone she could turn to whenever she needed and that he wasn’t some arrogant caveman thug. He was sexy as hell and there were numerous times where I had to pause so I could fully appreciate a good sigh. He knew when to push and he knew when to back off but one thing was always constant – his love. I will give this to him. He curled my toes when he took Nayeli over his knees and spanked her. For all the gentle guiding and firm support I saw through the book, the dominant and commanding Griffin took my breath away. He’s definitely a character worthy of my book lust list and he’s in fine company with Kyden and Briggs (some other of Stacey’s yummy male characters)

One thing I wasn’t expecting to see but made me laugh out loud a lot was Paxtyn. She was hilarious in this book. She was just as brash and opinionated as ever and I loved watching her get bent out of shape with Knox. Seemingly she didn’t think it was fair the “special” treatment Griffin afforded Nayeli and wondered why her Watcher was never that way with her. Seeing her indignant and stomping her feet made me smile, her sassy attitude shining through as she gave Knox a hard time. Of course, he gave as good as he got, one of the highlights being in the beginning of the book as he sensed danger, his protective streak kicked in and he picked up Paxtyn, opened a door and threw her in. She brought a great sense of humor and feel to the story and it was nice to see more of her.

I can’t help but feel warm and tingly when I think about my experience reading this book. It truly is an incredible story, one best read with your heart and there wasn’t any part of it that I didn’t love. WHISPERS OF EVIL once again proved to me I can’t go wrong reading something written by Stacey Kennedy. The woman has a gift, not just in the mere telling of a story but in sharing the complete book package – moving plot filled with depth and emotion and characters that endear themselves to you instantly. I can’t wait to see what happens next in the Watchers series and how Stacey will top this one. Happy reading!

Book 2 of the The Watchers begins with Griffin, one of the Seekers on a mission to rescue his Seeker, Nayeli from the mental institution she has been in nearly all her life. Unaware that the voices she hears are her gift, she's been raised to believe she's mentally unstable by those around her, including her parents who abandoned her when she was just a child. In a matter of seconds Nayeli's life is completely altered when she's taken from the Hell she's lived in and given a second chance at life. What lies in store for her is a world with new experiences that also comes with danger, but Nayeli is willing to risk those dangers for a chance at freedom and love.

I was so entranced with Griffin and Nayeli's story I read it in one sitting! While the first book introduced us to the Watcher Paxtyn, who is extremely outspoken and wild, this book's heroine, Nayeli, is naive and fragile. One would think her inexperience and sheltered life should make for a shy and uninteresting heroine, but Nayeli is a smart and courageous character that touches your heart from the start. I would classify her as a tortured heroine at the start of the book but her character grows and becomes the strong leading lady you cheer for in paranormal romance.

Griffin blew me away with his tenderness and patience when it comes to Nayeli, I absolutely fell in love with him! He's the perfect balance of an Alpha hero: he's a powerful warrior in the face of danger and the sensual lover in the bed with his woman. Griffin understands Nayeli's tendency to shut everyone out and conceal her emotions, but he never gives up on her and comforts her every step of the way. Their relationship is truly romantic and their intimate encounters almost set my Nook on fire! Stacey's beautiful writing allows you to tap into the character's emotions and step into the story as if you were living it.

This story was a little more fluid than the first in the series and grasped my attention from the first page. There is the ongoing battle of good vs. evil with the demons that still exists and we get to see some old faces as well. Paxtyn plays an important role in this story and she was absolutely hilarious with her one-liners, she made me like her more in this book! As usual, Stacey Kennedy writes a story with such depth and emotion it's nearly impossible to not become fully invested. Whispers of Evil is a sexy, feel good romance with elements of danger that will stir up your emotions and leave you ready for more!

Our heroine Nayeli has been institutionalized her whole life. She doesn't know she has a gift, to her it's a curse-she can hear demons. They speak in their demonic language and it actually hurts her to hear them. In the hospital she's been kept in, they usually have to sedate her a few days after the first voices appear. She might have a few days free of demonic voices, but they come back. She truly believes she's insane.

Enter Griffin.

He knows what he wants and he goes to rescue her. Pulling Nayeli out of the institution was great, and I really liked how Nayeli had full disclosure up front about what she was getting into with the fallen angels.

I understood Nayeli's fear of being unwanted, or thought crazy, so I actually didn't have a problem with her going with the flow, and doing whatever was required of her (something that would usually bug me).She would do anything to not have to return to the institution. I liked her spunk.

The only thing I didn't like was towards the end, she felt that sacrificing herself would be a fabulous idea. It drove me nuts that instead of believing the centuries old fallen angels and listening to their advice, she felt that self-sacrifice would be a brilliant idea.

The ending was good, but everything was just a bit too easily wrapped up. On the whole, it's a good read, if you like fallen angels, or hot warriors who practice fighting in sexy little black boxer-briefs, this is for you. If you want a new take on using their mates to help the warriors fight, this is a great series for that too.

This is the second book of a series but it can be read as a stand alone, as all is explained.Whispers Of Evil is a fun read that is so well writen that you'll want to know more and more, and then suddenly it ends. I didnt realize how many hours had passed by till I finished reading it and looked at the clock! It's so fun, sexy and captivating!
