This book is about the practical implications of covenant living in family relationships. This is my new favorite book on parenting.,.although I don't think I had a favorite one before. This one is, IMO, perfectly balanced. I confess that I have loved every book I have ever read by Susan Hunt. After reading this one I bought the remaining one I don't own. This book is going on my young adult's' " Read Before Leaving Home List," even my young men.

These paths are not good just because they are old; they are good because they take us to God."

I bought this book because Susan Hunt is coming to do our Women's Retreat in the fall and I wanted to read up :) I read this particular Susan Hunt book first, because Daisy loved it so much. I also convinced my newly-begun book club to read this as our first book.

I enjoyed this very much. The first half of the book focuses on covenant, God's promises and applying them.

The second half encourages us how to think through the ramifications of covenantal living by focusing our eyes on Christ, the

Covenant is weaved through every chapter and applied to the family. Tip: The 'Questions and answers' at the end of each chapter were as helpful if not more than the chapter itself.
