An interesting premise, if somewhat a mixed bag: Bronfman starts strong with a call to arms for a Jewish renaissance based on inclusion, not exclusion. He points out that Jewish ideology, especially in North America, has been primarily fear-based---fear of extinction following the experience of Shoah, and fear of assimilation based on intermarriage and an increasing laxness in practice.
