This book is jam-packed with sophisticated research, scientifically carried out and carefully presented. It's difficult reading, but it's worth it. I used the results of this research to develop new techniques for teaching people with dyslexia to read well. Those techniques are shared in my book, Dyslexic Tool Kit for Tutors and Parents. Nicolson and Fawcett's work is groundbreaking and important. I wish it were getting the notice it deserves in teacher training programs.
