I liked the quality of the paper. I disliked the lack of detailed instructions for very amateur gardeners (like myself). No ideas on how or how often to water a plant; no ideas on how to prepare the pots. Nothing :-(

Pretty basic, but very well-designed and organized. Just enough detail to give great info w/o being overwhelming. I got this from the library, but I may buy it!

A good bridge for conventional gardeners but a little lacking for permaculturists. Still a comprehensive and helpful book I will want to add to the shelves.

This wins the blue ribbon prize for being the most well organized and visually helpful gardening book that I've picked up this year.

A calendar checklist of when to do what, a "variety selector" to know what to buy, and an explanation of where to grow, how to harvest and what pests and diseases to look out for. But mostly it just makes gardening look easy, which is my top priority.
