This is a nice short story that, though originally published in 1950, is still being produced today by the Little Golden Books company. I like the fact that even though the illustrations are from the 1950's, as is the story and plot, the book continues to be issued in the U.S., and keeps on making an impact as it first did nearly sixty years ago. I feel sure that Helen Gaspard would be pleased by this fact.

I don't remember how old I was when I read this, but I do remember thinking it was a cool story. It's a good starter for young kids.

Our golden book copy still has the two original bangages in the front of the book.
