I’ve grown to love short stories more and more over the years. Unlike in a novel, the scenes generally move more swiftly. In many ways, the writer has to more skillfully incorporate information and descriptions to focus and engage their readers attention. This can be quite different than the “build-up” present in a full length book.

Well-composed short story which seems a little slow in the beginning, but quickly picks up momentum and steam. The story is consistent throughout, and the ending is satisfying for the story as a whole, tying up all the pieces of the story for the reader.
This was my first book from this author and I didn't know what to expect. It was very interesting but not my usual style of reading. I'll be reading more from this author to get a better feel for her writing style.
