I really enjoyed reading Shadowplay. The plot, characters and writing style were all excellent.

Shadowplay is the sequel to Maelstrom. This is told in the point of view of Mia. Mia is a half light/dark fae. Mia has know no love and has suffered great pain.

Mia trusts no one, fights, survives and is alone. She has constant attacks from assassins.

Until one day she meets Irish immortal vampire named Roddie. I won't give away any more plot because this book series is really good reading and I don't w...more

Tangled Threads by Jennifer Estep
Paranormal Romance - April 26th, 2011
4 1/2 stars

Tangled Threads reads a bit like a comic or graphic novel. With captivating super heroes and heroines to root for.

As the forth book the series, Tangled Web is a bit of a transition book. The heroine’s name is Gin and she is an orphan with powers to control stone and ice. Gin inherited, the restaurant the Pork Pit from her mentor. But he also secretly mentored her as an assassin for hire. G...more

I read a rew. from this author a day or two ago and loved it,so I clicked on her page.
While I scrolled, came my epiphany-OMG!These little pictures mean that this smart lady is an author!
So i rushed (as much as my firefoxs allowed me) to get something of hers.
So, I got this book.
The first question is- Why is she not famous?
The truth? I don't know. She is a very skilled writer with a wicked imagination.
But still, I don't know. I will have to read more.
The book it self was good. The storyline was pa...more

This book pleasantly surprised me. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would and hope to read more from this author. The story was easy to follow and a quick read. The characters were well defined. There was a good plot. I enjoy books where there is angst and pain. This covered every painful experience a female would never wish to go through.

The sex scenes were good too. :)

Mia is the only surviving half-breed between the light and dark Fae. She has had assassins on her tail for centuries and has never trusted anyone. Her father also happens to be the ruler of the Unseelie Court- and he doesn't have any kind of paternal feelings for his only surviving daughter. This book pleasantly surprised me. I usually am not into this kind of story ( Featuring Fae) but I fell in love with the cover and the story sounded intriguing. So what the heck! The story was easy to follow...more

I won a copy of this book through GoodReads First Reads Giveaways, in return for an honest review. Here goes...

I think this is a clever take on the Vampire Genre, mixing Vampires with Danger, Supernatural and Romance! I really enjoyed being caught up in the world the mysterious alternative world Ms Paige created. I hope there are more books coming in this series.
