В предисловии к этой книге Эйдзи Есикаву сравнивают почему-то с Маргарет Митчелл. Это, видимо, одно из широко распространенных и принимаемых без дополнительных комментариев "литературных суждений" - поверхностных и лживых. Наш аналог: "Владимир Орлов - это Булгаков для бедных". На самом же деле передать впечатление от романа Эйдзи Есикавы через выстраивание аналогий с европейской или американской литературой довольно сложно. Another fantastic addition to the series. I really cannot find any flaw to the book, or the series in general. The ending to the book made me immediately begin the next in the series.

The Charles S. Terry translation is a beautiful thing to experience for both the casual reader and a student of foreign language.
