Meh.. This book, while necessary for the overall story, illustrates what is wrong with 4th edition d&d: the focus is on action, not the characters. 95% of the time, you could have switched the names of any of the characters and it wouldn't have changed the story. The only real attempt at character development involved the fighter Shara, and her decisions driven by a sense of self-loathing really make the story tedious.
