In my opinion, this is a book that anyone who is thinking about or is already involved in any type of social media MUST read. Why isn't this on some top 10 books of the year list? Shimmering with intelligence and humanity, its voice cuts through the clutter to what social media is, and could be. I think this is a defining, pivotal treatise - pretty awesome read.

I liked the ending in particular, as the author attempts to predict the future of social media, and what it means for our species.
Bill Morgan
This book was twice as long as it needed to be. While it had some good insights as to how social media has become a vehicle for altruistic human motives, it largely fails at it reads too much like a manifesto rather than a sober history of the rise of social media.
