This book changed the way that I work. It is a nearly-exhaustive collection of commands that run from a cmd.exe shell, including their syntax and possible applications. I use the information in this book, along with the trusty PSTools suite, to perform the systems aministration portions of my job more effectively, and often, the combination of psexec and shutdown has saved our office a trip to our colocation facility to reboot a hung server.

Recommends it for:
well just computer geeks & IT staff really unless you really are eager to learn.
Only for IT people really but for people who can probably master the Windows Command line. There are some Graphical User Interface commands that don't compare to some great command lines. Great for troubleshooting and searching for documents. Good reference book.
