This is the story of one of the white stallions of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria. The story is set during the 1930's. It is the adventures of this stallion and his stablemates during the war. It is a good book.

Annie Wedekind grew up riding horses in Louisville, Kentucky. Since then, she’s been in the saddle in every place she’s lived, from Rhode Island to New Orleans, South Africa to New York.
