I love the way Chris's lines move backwards and forewards, elaborating on a point by going somewhere else altogether, instead of just stating the obvious. Stroffolino can have it any way he wants it, rococco or not. Very good selection of his work, Chris is a wonder. Within Stroffolino's framework of logical knots, ideas mostly in metaphorical roles follow dizzyingly upon each other in trains of association (and thoroughly non-gratuitous pop song references), seemingly driven by a compulsion to try to make life's swirling fragments of every size add up to some coherent scheme which could only be reached if their interrelationships could be explored to the fullest depths in all directions simultaneously.

There are quite a few dazzlingly brilliant (five star) poems in here but, also, a fair number whose main point, it would seem, is to bedazzle one with their brilliance.

P.S.
There were way too many typos/misprints in my copy.
