Impulse acquisition at Borders, 2008-04-08; contains Science and Hypothesis (1903), The Value of Science (1905) and Science and Method (1908).

A solid read, but dry, oh so very dry! While the exposition is illustrious, a masterful treatment by one of the last great polymaths, swaddled in Parisian eloquence and more gratuitous use of the word "rigour" than I'd known or hoped possible (my favorite: "In all rigour", as in "In all honesty" or "To cut to More...
