Size obviously doesn't matter! Peter Gammond's book may be entitled 'The Little Book of Betjeman' but it is a very big book in content.

The author gives us plenty of biographical, bibliographical and critical detail about the former Poet Laureate's life and career. Betjeman is probably the nation's best-known poet through his television programmes and the impression that the poet gave on those programmes is confirmed in this book.
