I couldn't wait to start this book because I found McKenna to be fascinating in No Chance. It definitely didn't disappoint.

Quick summary
It was speculated that McKenna had a seriously troubling backstory and seemed to be on the run. Everyone's instincts were correct but they couldn't have imagined how tragic her story really is. When she rescued Lucas Kane after having been kidnapped by Victor Lymes, he was determined to find this woman who he never could get

LOVED IT!! Definitely the best one of the series! I can't even get all my thoughts in order to write a review right now. I'll try to come back and do one though. But if you have been following this series, do not hesitate to read this one. It's definitely an amazing story!

This book deserves more then the usually rating! 5++ STARS!

What an intriguing story!

As per usual there's a phenomenal story to every book Christy Reece writes. This novel had me in an allure and turning every page. In the two previous books, I became attached to a character. McKenna Sloan aka Ghost.

With Mckenna's dark persona, I just knew there was something dreadful that had happened in her past; and why she became the way she is.She's very secluded, doesn't make friends, keeps to herself and

Lucas Kane is having a very bad day. First he suffered from food poisoning, then he was kidnapped by an idiot. But then things started to look better when he was saved by a mysterious woman who calls herself Ghost. But before he could find out more about his Ghost, she vanishes. But Lucas doesn’t give up easily, and he will do anything in his power to find the woman who captured his interest.

Last Chance by Christy Reece
(Last Chance Rescue #6)

There are certain things I have come to expect when picking up a Christy Reece novel. One, I’m going to get a great story full of suspense or mystery, and great characters with tortured pasts and swoon worthy heroes . Reece does not disappoint, in fact this is arguably (with myself) the best installment in the series so far. Not since Eden St. Claire from Rescue Me has there been a more awesome heroine in this series.

The elusive McKenna Sloan h
WOW!absolutely wonderful read, loved Lucas-McKenna,the sufferings McKenna had to go through cause of that maniac stalker just creeped me out badly and as rightly mentioned by Lucas,McKenna is a very brave courageous strong woman who endured so much pain and lost her whole family yet she never broke down she carried on and kept fighting,Noah-Samara-Lucas all helped McKenna in healing, loved the way Lucas in the start itself accepts his feelings for McKenna and starts making efforts to bring his lov ...more

Absolutly awesome book, the last in Christy Reece's Last Chance series and definatly my favourite. Mckenna has a torrid past which she has been runnng from for years! She helps LCR in their rescues and comes upon man who makes her question her feelings and makes her want to run even more.

4.5 stars--At the urging of fellow GR Reader Shawna, I picked up this book because it's a prequel of sorts to the 8th book, Sweet Revenge> that comes out next month. I'm reading this series out of order, and that doesn't really bother me. I've never been an order purist. And I think these stories can stand firmly on their own.

Last Chance is the story of McKenna Sloan, who at the age of seventeen watched her psycho boyfriend, Damon, murder her parents and little sister, was kidnapped by afore

Just finished Christy Reece's latest book in the LCR series. The best one yet!! I intend to write a glowing review when I have time to get my thoughts and feelings in order. Amazing though - you don't want to miss this one!

This is my favorite in the series so far. I like how Ms. Reece doesn't hold back on the gory details, no matter how uncomfortable it makes the reader. She has a knack for not only making me root for the good guys, but really, REALLY want to torture the bad guys. The villain in this book is truly evil.

Lucas is a sweetheart of a man and isn't afraid to show it. He feels an instant attraction to McKenna and though he knows she is in hiding, he keeps on trucking until he finds her. When he realises

First off let me say that the first time I read the book I was hooked. However, I was in another book and had to finish the others before I started this one. The only problem with this was for the fact that I would read the first chapter over and over at different times.

I don't know why I did this honestly.

My suggestion is to read the whole thing and then I probably would bump it up to 5 stars. Other than that it was a solid 4 star book i just missed the excitement of the first few chapters th

If you need a good romance this is the book to choose. You can't help but to fall in love with both the main characters. You will also get your sizzling hot romance, suspence, and emotions pulled to a great ending! It was a keeper for me and a hope that the writer will keep the books coming!

I read a review that someone else wrote that said the last chapter of this story was unnecessary. I completely disagree. The last chapter of the book is an important part of the happy ending. McKenna went from being a sweet 16 girly girl to living in the shadows always afraid and hiding her feminity as a way to keep people from noticing her. Giving McKenna a "cinderella story" ending was something the character dererved, and I absolutely think Reece did the story justice by providing it. If you ...more

British Billionaire Lucas Kane is more than just a successful businessman. He’s a skilled assassin, at least he was until his father’s death made him change careers and focus on the family business.

But when he is kidnapped from his hotel and held for ransom in South America, it’s a young blond beauty named McKenna Sloan who saves him. Known as the Ghost, she disappears without a trace. Unable to put the mysterious woman out of his mind, Lucas utiliz

McKenna works for Last Chance Rescue and makes her living by saving lives. She has a history of disappearing and only reappear when someone is in danger. When a woman is kidnapped, McKenna decides to help.

She rescued Lucas and then wasn't heard from again. He spends half a year trying to find this "ghost". When she finds out that he is searching for her, her curiosity gets the best of her.

McKenna isn't looking for a relationship. She doesn't even like to be touched, and she has a very valid reas
A truly traumatized heroine on the run from an obsessive psycho who robbed her of a life for years. An undercover bada$$ hero who gave up his deep undercover government work to take his fathers place in charge of a billion dollar company. He gives her a Cinderella life and she give him something to look forward to in his life. The lack of crazy misunderstandings and the strength of their relationship was a nice change from the last few I've read so I went with them all the way.

Damon - The most despicable evil villain. Lucan and McKenna - the sweetest couple. Found myself rushing though the book because I couldn't wait to find out what happened. The only downer is now I have to wait until August for the next book. Lucas and McKenna are definitely worth a re-read just to savor their relationship unfolding. Each of the LCR operatives has overcome adversity which makes for an exciting page turning story. Last Chance was just a WOW!!! Looking forward to reading about Honor ...more

Not my cup of tea....

I know this is suspens and romance novel, but descriptions of Damons cruellness to Mckenna and the other women, included Jamie (I already know her and Dylan are going to be main characters of the following book) is just too much for me!

The main reason I read books to get away from the reality, colored by ugliness which surround us every day. I don't wont to come home and read about whipping, cigarette burns or branding somebodys ass. After 50SOG maybe it is not so shocking

I have been the hugest fan of LCR since I won my 1st book in one of Christy's competitions and I am a forever fan.
Out of all of the LCR books this is my favourite for 2 reasons:-

1. I absolutly love the characters, they come alive on the page and I love their chemistry and...
2. Because my name is in the back of the book - :-) Oh yeah!
This book takes pride and place on my bookshelf and NO-One is allowed to touch it! lol

I really love the LCR novels and this was one of the best so far. McKenna is known as a ghost, slipping in and out helping the LCR team when needed.

She helps rescue Lucas Kane and then disappears, Lucas tries to find her, wanting to see if the connection he had felt had been real.

McKenna has known loss and has been on the run for 8 years, until she meets Lucas. She doesn't want to live him, afraid he too will be taken from her, but he doesn't give her much of a choice.

This one just may be the best of the series so far. I adored Lucas Kane - where can I get a man like that?
Lukas let this down for me.

So McKenna aka the Ghost has been mentioned a few times in recent books. She has some terrible secret that makes her afraid to let people touch her but she is a valued associate of LCR. She helped rescue Lukas from the evil Victor (although Luke apparently also helped himself quite a lot) and since then he has been trying to find her.

At the start I really liked the Luke McKenna dynamic. He was portrayed as a bit of a superhero: part of a secret organisation that even L

OH MAN!! this installment was a page turner!! I could not put it down, finished it in record time - up until almost 3am reading!

Prior to this book McKenna was a mystery, a ghost, a lethal weapon to LCR. We saw her in snippets in book 5. She worked alone and came in and helped when she was needed. The things that she has to do to ensure a victims safety and keep her cover were the ultimate sacrifice. I was thrilled to see that she would get her own book!! And oh man what a book it is! I'm beginning to hate reading Christy Reece's books, because they are costing me sleep and work - I (again) read all night and was late to work (and I had an important appointment!!!) so that I could finish. Ms. Reece has a talent for suspense and I enjoy the topic this series showcases (finding and "retreiving" lost and missing people, mostly young girls kidnapped for human traffickers and other low-life scum).

The change up in Last Chance simply enhanced the theme: The Ghost is a young woman wh

The third in the series by Christy Reece, Last Chance is an action packed romance and will truly take you on a ride.

McKenna is " The Ghost" and agent who works alone, but sometimes tags along and take missions from an agency called Last Chance Rescue.
This is where she runs into rich businessman Lucas Kane. He has been kidnapped from his hotel room and when she finds him he is in some serious bad shape. Thing is Lucas is hiding something, he is no ordinary spoiled rich boy businessman who has be

This is the 3rd book in the 2nd LCR Trilogy. As with any series, please make sure that you start with the correct book order especially if you are interested in who is who in every book you read. Although being the 2nd Trilogy, it’s the 6th book in the LCR series.

In Last Chance we meet McKenna Sloan also known as the Ghost and Lucas Kane. We came to know a teeny bit about McKenna in the previous book. She lends a hand when needed by LCR but is not permanently employed by them and no one truly kn
