This could have been a really lousy menage a trois type story but the author made it more of a Three Musketeers against the ghosts story and the dialogue and interaction of the characters was at times lovely and then delightfully comedic. I enjoyed the story until the end. It seems that the author ran out of "juice" and ended it kind of quickly and too awkwardly. No, I couldn't do better but based on all but the last few pages, I think she could have. All in all, I enjoyed the book.

Rachel Madison has lost her best friend in a fire. She wants to get away to the cabin that Mary Beth had been trying to get her to visit for a long time. What she finds at the cabin is mystery, ghosts, friendship and romance. Rachel is a very good artist and she finds herself painting things she doesn't remember. One of the Lake's other cabin goers points out a figure here she begins to think that maybe there is something going on. Rachel is trying to deal with the loss of her friend and she get...more

Guaranteed to give you chills...

Rachel Madison has it all. With a successful art gallery, comfortable lifestyle, scads of friends clamoring for invitation to her parties, Rachel thinks little on serious matters. During her stay, Rachel meets the eccentric and tortured owner, John, and fun loving, succe...more

This was a well-written mysterious story about love lost and love gained. I saw vast improvement from the author from the first book she ever published and enjoyed it very much. It had me in tears from the emotion that poured from the pages. Emotion is this author’s strongest quality in her writing. She conveys emotion so clearly and realistically that it is almost impossible to not act like an Empath and fell the emotions at the same time as the characters. Her writing, like a lot of great writ...more

This book was just so annoying and silly. It had 2 guys and a gal all spending time around a lake that was 'haunted'.......it really felt like it was going to be some kind of 'threesome' deal and I kept hoping it would go in a different direction. The story was very predictable with the characters eating.......sleeping........making-out.....having angst from a fight.......saving each other from harm........and back to eating again. It was a big long circle of boring silliness.....and the ending....more

I thought this book was pretty good. I wasn't too impressed with the ending - a little too "feel good" wacky for my taste, but overall I like it.

Poorly written...didn't like the whole plot and the way things played out - very predictable and just overall disappointing.
