Summer break is over, and Raven is hardly eager to be returning to Dullsville High. Not only does school mean daily interaction with preppy pest Trevor Mitchell, but her sleep-filled days and romantic nights with her immortal boyfriend, Alexander, must come to an end. Plus the shock of morning classes isn't the only change in store.

An unexpected letter turns up at Alexande

I'm not sure how I feel about this just seems a little immature for me. The entire series seems more like one continuous fanfiction story then actual books. There's a definite beginning, middle, and end. There aren't many twists and turn in the story; there's one problem and it gets solved. That's basically the entire book.
One big thing that annoys me is how Alexander and Raven are so in love, but then there are random parts when she's attracted to Trevor! If she's soooo in love I wo
This book is even better then the books before it! i love this series! Ok so in this book alexanders parents come back from romania and it puts a strain on raven and alexanders relationship. after a long time when they are back, raven finally gets invited into the mansion to meet his parents and when she goes she falls in love with them. Reading Vampire Kisses (1-6) is like watching your favorite T.V. show. Each book is similar to a weekly episode. In this episode, Royal Blood, Raven and Alexander have been blissfully enjoying their summer together without the hassle of school and a difference in hours they can spend together. Just as the summer ends, Alexander receives a note indicating that his parents are returning to town. While Raven is excited, Alexander is hesitant of their arrival. After they arrive they are spotted by m ...more

Since Kindergarten, Raven's biggest dream was to be a vampire. When her parents are hippies and you watched a lot of old horror films, why wouldn't she? Well, things haven't changed a lot since then, and now Raven's in high school. She's got

Raven and her vampire boyfriend, Alexander, have had the perfect summer. With fall comes the beginning of school and the ending of their nights together.

The arrival of Alexander's parents makes things worse. While they're seen all over town, Alexander waits to introduce Raven to his parents, making her feel both neglected and hurt.

However, once they meet, she adores his parents and they seem to like her. Before long, Raven's family and Alexander's family start socializing - with Raven and Alex

Royal blood is the 6th book of vampire dairies and it seems the story is getting more interesting.
This has always been a light, fast and a good gothic book. I have never encountered a girl like Raven in any other books . she is kind, brave, and really a loving person. She is totally in love with Alexander.

This book deals with now her parents relationship with Alexander's parents. Dealt with her parents view. This relationship was taken to new level and few interesting things to keep you hooked ti
This was MUCH better than the previous books. I almost felt like I was reading a new series! I finally understand the Alexander and Raven relationship, but yet there were still things that irked me. (Minor spoilers?)

First off, what is with the whole "I am about to turn 18" junk from Alexander? Um, you're a VAMPIRE. What do you mean you're about to turn 18? Aren't you undead? How do you get any older?

And secondly, YOU'RE A VAMPIRE. Your parents tell you what to do still? REALLY?

But it was still a
Goth girl Raven can never catch a break. Just when her and Alexander's relationship seems to be out of danger---think again. Alexander's parents, Cassandra and Constantine are the classic vampires. Cassandra is pale with the confidence of a queen and the attitude of a movie star, and Raven realizes that she's admiring her role model more than her own mother. Alexander's father, Constantine is the classic vampire all the way, dark with incredible eyes, with a cane and cape in tow.

All is well

The sixth book in the Vampire Kisses series is different then the first five. There are no teen vampires causing trouble for Alexander and Raven, instead there is only Alexander's cool Vampire Parent's. The plot is quick paced, and you have to love all the pop culture comments Ellen Schreiber places throughout her novels. I would countine to take this series over Twilight any day.
Once again this book failed to disappoint. Most of the book was good and there were only a few small things I would change which I will dive into later. But for now, the beautiful and perfect love story continues and it couldn't be better than it is right now.

The things I didn't like about this one:
-Alexander's parents
-the way Raven treated Alexander's parents like they were gods.

These issues showed up a lot and bugged me, but not too bad. I hope his parents don't show up in any more of the se

This book is the sixth in the Vampire Kisses series. Young Raven and her vampire boyfriend Alexander are entering a blissful summer of romantic dates in the cemetery and delicious snuggle sessions in Alexander's coffin. However, their time together is tainted by a visit from Alexander's Transylvanian parents. Throughout the book she both falls in love with his family and does her best to not allow them to tear she and Alexander apart.

Ever since Junior High I've enjoyed the Vampire Kisses books.
Wonderful series, and a great book to be a part of it. I've been wondering since book 1 what Alexander's parents would be like. That being said, and knowing this series is meant for people younger then my 17 years... This one was quite boring, and would have made a better side story (I.e. Vampire Kisses 6.5) rather then it's own 'important' part of the storyline. It honestly felt more like a sitcom episode then a book. Writing-wise though, I personally think it was quite good as I know it can be ...more
One of my favorite series! Really enjoyed the way Ellen Schreiber writes the idea of vampires and goths into our modern world. I love reading about Raven and Alexander together! Can I just say how much I love Trevor?? He's cocky and funny in the innuendos he makes towards Raven and he acts like he doesn't even like but we all know he's secretly in love with her. This has got to be my favorite book in the series especially since we get to meet Alexander's parents and we get to see Becky and Matt ...more
These were great books. No bad language, no sexual content. And great story lines. Sorry to see I have to wait for 2010 for the next book.
The 6th book in the series and another great addition. The book begins with Raven and Alexander arriving back in Dullsville just in time for school to start. Raven is paired with Trevor for a school project which is hilarious given they are always at odds. Raven and Alexander are surprised to learn that his parents are coming to visit and Raven finally meets a role model she can really identify with. Mrs. Sterling is an amazing women and a vampire/goth to Raven's delight. However, the fun doesn' ...more

So, I'm up to book six in Ellen Schreiber's Vampire Kisses series. In Royal Blood the bulk of the plot concentrates on the sudden appearance of Alexander's parents, Cassandra and Constantine, in Dullsville. Much of the book degenerates into Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? type scenarios with the parents and the kids. The rest revolves around a school project that pairs Raven with Trevor, her nemesis. Overall, nothing bodes well.

It's fun. It's candy. I'm still liking them, but beginning to desire m
Having read all other five books in Ellen Schreiber's popular series, and still reading it must say a lot of how I think about the series. I love the Vampire Kisses series. All the books in the series are a quick, simple read and you don't have to ponder on and on afterwords. Raven is a very strong character who any female (whether your goth or not) can look up to. Ellen Schreiber's writing style keeps you reading the whole thing through. While reading any of the Vampire Kisses book, you'll feel ...more

I like this book because it is funny and interesting. This is the sixth book of the vampire kisses series and I read all the other ones as well. This is also a story about vampires and has romance too though this is less serious and more like a comedy though there are some serious parts which makes it interesting to read.
Raven, the main character, has a vampire boyfriend named Alexander. Ever since Raven was little she has always wanted to be a vampire and by meeting Alexander it only made her

Royal Blood is the 6th book in the Vampire Kisses series, and is told from the perspective of 16 year old goth-girl Raven Madison. Royal Blood takes place at the beginning of Raven's junior year of high school, and centers around her adventures with vampire boyfriend Alexander.

I have not been very impressed with this series, but fortunately the books seem to get a little better as the series progresses. I think these books would be great for anyone under the age of 15, but not so much for adult
Better then the rest of them

This is the sixth book in the Vampire Kisses series by Ellen Schreiber.

Raven is now living part-time at the Mansion with Alexander. It’s been a few weeks since they’ve been home and Raven has been changing the mansion a little bit, adding candles and so on. One day on the way to her house they find a letter in the Alexander’s mail box. It’s a letter from his parents saying that they’ll be coming to visit him. Knowing that Raven has to stop going over to Alexander’s ho

(Review for Books 1-8)

I decided to review all eight of these books together, as I pretty much read them all back to back and I don't think I would be able to go back and review them all individually.

Firstly, this is a series that I had known about for a while, but wasn't really too sure what the books were about. Going from the titles it's obvious that they are about vampires, but apart from that I hadn't really looked into them too much. One day in December, bored I decided to give the first bo

When Raven and Alexander discover that his parents are coming back, their romantic nights must come to a stop. However, Raven is not that disappointed, she’s actually excited at finally getting to meet Alexander’s parents. As she waits and waits, she discovers that the whole town has already seen them before her. Why hasn’t Alexander introduced Raven to them? When Raven finally does meet Alexander’s
Alexander's parents came! Mrs. Sterling and Mr. Constantine. They stayed for awhile. Raven finally met them. She was so nervous, she was having a hard time deciding what to wear! I wouldn't blame her though! =)) Meeting the parents.. whew! pressure. haha! Alexander's parents liked Raven. They had dinner at the mansion. Raven's parents invited Alexander's parents for dinner at their home. I could tell Raven was freaking! Didn't have much time to prepare. It went well in the end. A few days passed ...more
Okay, so I have decided to actually review the the first 6 books in this series. So far, Raven was kind of an annoying character because for a goth she was quite over dramatic when it came to her love for Alexander. Sometimes I really just wanted to skip over her thoughts about Alexander because it seemed to go on for paragraphs on. I got it from the second book how much she loves Alexander, no need to re-iterate it over and over in every book. I mean, this is one of those guilty pleasure books: ...more
Since I have already typed up this review, I'm going to keep it short and sweet.

So, basically, in this book, Alexander's parents finnally come back from Romania(sure left there son alone for long enough). I just kept waiting to see how they would react to Raven changing there entire house, and PRACTICALLY LIVING THERE ALL SUMMER. I mean, that's not that big of a deal if you're adults, but they are both only teenagers. Not to mention she was sleeping in his offin(teehee). Well, after that, Raven
