Spencer stole her sister's boyfriend. Aria is brokenhearted over her English teacher. Emily likes her new friend Maya . . . as much more than a friend. Hanna's obsession with looking flawless is making her sick. And their most horrible secret yet is so scandalous that the truth would ruin them forever.

And why "shouldn't" I tell? They deserve to lose it all. With every crum...more

The second book to the Pretty Little Liars series, Flawless, we're back and we're following the lives of the four reunited friends - Emily, Aria, Hanna and Spencer. Three years ago, their best friend disappeared without a trace and was never found - until now. Alison’s body was discovered in her old backyard, but the question is, who was the one to put her there?

While the police open the murder investigation for the second time and hope...more

Buddy read with Jessica.

Nothing much has changed since I read the first installment of the Pretty Little Liars series, few days ago. Then I was an 31 year old woman, a woman who enjoyed this series too much for her own good. Now I am a 32 year old woman, enjoying this series too much for her own good.

I doubt I have ever read a book that is as much full of drama than the Flawless is. It left me breathless. I feel like I sprained my neck with all these twists and turns. So many secrets. So many ba...more

Yay! More Pretty Little Liars! And don't you fear, the second book did not disappoint (though I think the first one was a bit better). This book had a bunch of insane moments, and the ending was amazing. The stories really grew crazier and bigger.

The plot-line of this book was excellent, I loved how each girl added to the problem and solution, especially when figuring out who A was, even though it failed. And I also liked the differences between the first book and Flawless. The changes made eve...more

Well, I didn't like this book as much as the first one. I also have to admit I'm liking the TV series a little more and it kills me to say that because I'm sure TV will one day eat my brain (if it hasn't already).

I just couldn't ignore some of my complaints about the series this time around. I mean, the mystery part of it is still really really good. I have absolutely no flippin' clue about what will happen next. But I'm not liking the girls as much. Is it me, or are they becoming even more air-...more

Hi, Are you a teenage girl? Then rush out and buy this steaming pile of crap. Are you a fan of the TV Series and not a teen girl? You'll most likely hate this novel as well. While the show took the basic premise and made it good, it's clear why this series never really took off until after the show came out.

None of the characters have a single redeeming quality to them. Yes, they come off as having multiple layers but in the end they are just as shallow as any real life pretty girl. I also feel...more

An eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind.

Remember I said I liked Toby? I don't anymore, actually. He was sweet and cute but I now know what he did and... No.

When I think of Aria, Emily Spencer and Hanna I see 4 train wrecks. They are all derailing so fast it's making my head spin.

Bring on the next one!

Flawless definitely lived up to its name - flawless!

Sara Shepard has such a way of speaking to the reader and making it seem like they are right in the action. I found myself not wanting to read at night because I got so paranoid! That's the kind of book I crave.

In Flawless, the girls are still struggling with their problems and they are becoming more advanced and more people are beginning to suspect something is wrong with them. A is becoming more vengeful and more into blackmailing them, their...more

Have you ever felt like someone was watching you? This is exactly what four Rosewood Day juniors feel like after they have been receiving haunting messages, IMs, emails and texts, from an unknown person going by ~A. Spencer, Aria, Emily and Hannah hadn't talked ever since their best friend, Alison DiLaurentis, went missing in seventh grade. Spencer stole her sister’s British boyfriend, but is falling apart at the seams. Spencer is an all A student but after all of the distractions, from Wren an...more

Sara Shepard’s Flawless is about four teenage girls, Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily, living in Rosewood, Pennsylvania. A continues to stalk the four girls in this sequel to Pretty Little Liars. Spencer has stolen her sister’s new boyfriend, and is later found kissing him by her sister. Emily is crushing on Toby Cavanaugh and her new neighbor Maya, from California. Hanna is desperately trying to stay flawlessly perfect making her very sick. Aria is continuing to obsess over her English teacher an...more

Everything in Roosewood is getting worse and worse. A person called "A" is sending the four girls threatnening messages saying that if they tell, they will tell everyone about what they have done, and all their secrets won't be secrets anymore. Meanwhile, Aria is still crushing on her English teacher, Emily likes Maya, the new girl at school, Spencer's in love with her sister's boyfriend, and Hanna is trying some ugly tricks to become completley flawless. What will these girls do when they real...more

The second novel in the Pretty Little Liars series, Flawless, continues the story of 4 girls with a dirty secret. Starting right where we left off, the girls have all spoken and now know that "A" has been in touch with all of them.

Like the first one, Flawless is full of drama and suspense. A is still daunting the girls with their secrets and threatening to expose them if they don't do as A says. It's a light read that is really fun and enjoyable. The girls have real problems and relationships, a...more

The events of "Flawless" occur immediately after "Pretty Little Liars". The four girls meet after the funeral of their deceased friend and share some of what the mysterious "A" has threatened. Flawless by Sara Shepard begins where Pretty Little Liars ends, at Alison DiLaurentis’ funeral. Emily, Spencer, Aria and Hanna are still being taunted by the mysterious –A, who knows more about them than they thought.
Hanna Marin continues to struggle with her bulimia and has been getting more attention from her father than she ever had since she started stealing and crashed her ex-boyfriend’s car. But it’s a battle to keep her father’s attention while his stepdaughter tries to tear them apart...more

I honestly didn't think book two would be better than book one. But I proved myself wrong. This is the best YA series I have read in a long time, and can not wait to start book three.
I would have to say Aria is my favorite in this book. She had a fling with her teacher in book one. And in this one there are hints there might be something more about them in book three. She also is dating Hanna's ex-boyfriend, Sean, which Hanna is not happy about.
Hanna in this book struggles to find herself and wh...more

Guilty pleasure that sometimes makes me feel annoyed for some of the things that happen in the books storyline. I am reading this second book after the shocking mid season 3 of the TV show and I feel bad for both endings, the book and the TV show.
I hate that the girls haven't yet become as true friends and they the keep things from one another. I hate some reactions, like Hanna running to Foxy's just because of a random text. So what? She should have stayed and ruined Kate's life instead of the...more

This book is a federal violation towards the mind. Awful doesn't even cover it. It didn't even deserve the 1 star I gave it.

God, so many predicaments and dilemmas were appearing out of thin air all at once. It was so difficult to keep up with everyone's life throughout the first two books. Even worse, their issues were meaningless. Aria is all like "Omg! Omg! I love my teacher to the moon and back! But unfortunately we can't be together. It's strictly prohibited and frowned upon! God, I'm devas...more

The other day I picked up Flawless, the second book in the Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard. ...Just as my guilty pleasure. Ehehehe.

Anyway, Flawless basically concerns the girls discovering certain things about themselves and being snippy and like oh my gawd you totally stole my boyfriend, no way I din't, betch. The plot was really quite static, and if it wasn't for the big charity ball everyone who's anyone in Rosewood goes to every year, there would be none to speak of.

Also, the rea...more

This book was as great as the first one, but I'm giving it three stars because it seemed the conflict was teenage drama only, and the main problem, (view spoiler), didn't evolve into something new.

The girls start to suspect that Toby Cavanaugh, Jenna's stepbrother, is A. They develop some other theories separetely, for example: Aria thinks Spencer has something to do with the A mess because of a text she received, Emily thinks Toby was Alison's boyfriend in 7th gr...more

Sarjan toinen osa ärsyt...more

The Pretty Little Liars series are my personal guilty pleasure. You hate that you love it sort of book. It has all the things you enjoy for a guilty pleasure-death, good looking rich kids, expensive clothing, always-away-parents and a mysterious character. I'm a bit naughty and checked out the last book and found out who A really is. (A is referring to the mysterious person who writes taunting letters to the four main girls) and now that i'm reading it from the start, you totally WILL NOT EXPECT...more
