This is not a narrow-minded boy kisses girl tribute to heterosexual romance although there are lots of pictures like that. The book contains 60 black and white pictures that span the 20th century from 1915 to 1988. As you can see, I have too many books about kissing, but it's actually an interesting subject to research. I started looking into it when I had to do a presentation on "the phenomenology of petting" in Fitzgerald. Seriously. I used this book for pictures, especially those from old silent movies; it's a small coffeetable collection compiled by a California art collector with a too-brief intro by the author of JITTERBUG PERFUME.
