Slow, clumsy, awkward, dopey, absurd, inept, zonked out. My kind of Dungeons & Dragons, as it turns out.

Second volume of this stoner D and D adventure comic, with upgrades and an inventory of materials you need to be successful in the game. The quest to find the Atlantean Resonator Guitar continues, more of the same with more drugs along the way. Pretty funny, actually, if you like slacker gamer stories.

Dungeon Quest is one tripped-out mamajama of weirdo Dungeons & Dragon’s reverence and mockery.

This review is for all three volumes in the series.

The story starts out odd and gets odder and odder as it goes. And odder. I’m gonna say it’s like Dungeons & Dragons meets Twin Peaks meets Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure meets soft gay porn while stoned out of its mind. You’d think such a thing wouldn’t have an audience. Would you? Okay, maybe it has an obvious audience. Well, obviously me

What was I getting into when I read this? Little did I know. Shits & giggles, that is. Follow a band of adventurers in their search for the missing parts of the Atlantis Resonator Guitar, and a couple of side quests as well, like the mission to return a poet prophet's penis sheath.

Metal anal suppositories for item storage, heavy drug use, and so dumb it's funny dialogue separates this from the usual role playing fare, and it is not for the easily offended.

I had this book thrust upon me by my local comic book shopkeeper and, having never heard of it before, had zero expectations going in. While the book is certainly a quick read it is a fun one.

Although I started with Volume 2 I do not feel as though I missed a great deal of back-story that would be necessary to understand and enjoy it. It is the story of four adventurers on a quest. Pretty simple stuff really. They are on a quest to retrieve the parts of the Atlantean Resonator Guitar, but in thi

The quest to find the Atlantean Resonator Guitar continues in Book 2 with the same gang as before going through a mysterious forest, encountering along the way bridge trolls and other monsters as well as smoking killer weed and snorting amazing coke. The format in this book remains the same with the team getting upgrades after each battle however the battles are more action packed and the upgrades are fewer allowing for a freer-flowing story.

Joe Daly's artwork is improving with each book and th

Volume 2 is just as good as volume 1. One thing that feels missing is that the characters are moving further and further from reality. The first volume had the characters fighting two bullies hanging out on a street corner. Now, they are running through dungeons and casting magic spells. Looking forward to volume 3, which, I think, wraps it up.

The boyfriend brought this home one day so I picked it up and gave it a try. He had read the first volume, I had not. Maybe if I had, I would have liked this more. I liked the drawing style but the story itself... I'm sorry, but it was just dumb.

Millennium Boy, Steve, Lash and Nerdgirl continue their quest for the Atlantean Resonator Guitar in this volume which picks up immediately after book one. What can I say...more bizarre, trippy fun as before. Now I have to track down book 3 to see where the story goes from here.

This is one of those graphic novels that if you are not aware of what you are getting into... you might be lost. This is an apeshit crazy storyline that can only be explained as an rpg session among stoned friends.

The adventure and action ramps up in the second volume, and I find myself loving this book more and more. Still, one character does not talk, which is perplexing and strange.

La "quête" des personnages se poursuit bon an mal an, l'esprit reste le même que dans le tome 1, ce qui retire peut-être un peu de l'effet de surprise de ce dernier.
