The cover was beautiful and the thought of generations full of ancestry was compelling.
But don't judge a book by it's cover.
The story was written in a uneducated way. Very materialistic.
Audrey bumped into and fell in love with a random guy on the first page?
And then found he was 'christian' and was determined not to even consider him.
Then after being thrown together, we find she really does find him amazing (mostly talked about in the physical aspect).
But this solid christian pastor also if f...more

Very nice story within 4 stories. A present day story of an orphaned young lady researching her genaeology is interwoven with three stories of her ancestors in Scotland, with the first set in the 1800's and each of the other two are progressively further back in her family's history.

I really enjoyed this book!
It was neat how they connected all these stories, which were very cute. I loved the history told about Scotland in this book, even if it wasn't true history, it was still fun to think about and imagine the past. The way God was intertwined in this story was really good too. I would def recommend this book. :)

Go back in time as Audrey MacMurray, raised in the foster care system delves into the history of her ancestors, and learns about life in Kennerith Castle in Scotland- through 3 generations- 1800's, 1700's and 1300's. Will she be able to live with the same passion, courage and faith that these women in her ancestry lived with?

I read this book one summer at the beach and could not put it down. It is an excellent book! I love the way that the main character learns about the lives of other women in her family so we learn about her as well as her ancestors. It is just a great book and one that I could read again right now :-)

The stories were interesting... but lacking. The development of the plot and depth of the characters fell shallow, even for shorter-length books. I felt no real interest in the characters themselves, and was not nearly so intrigued in their stories as some other, similar romances of the Heartsong books. Disappointing, since I picked up this book with the exciting anticipation of immersing myself in it's setting in the Scottish Highlands.

Highland Legacy by Tracey V. Bateman, Pamela Griffin, Tamela Hancock Murray, Jill Stengl. This was a nice read. Christian type Novel to be sure, but I enjoyed it. But I did like the format of a novel within a novel. very cool.

This book was a quick read, though it was not one I really, really liked but it was okay.

From modern to many centuries ago, 4 stories of a young woman (now) and her ancestors then. The thing I liked most was that is started out with the girl who was not a Christian and it went back in time and visited 3 of her ancestors (women) and exhibiting their trials and faith
