How does it feel to be desired by every man and envied by every woman? Wonderful. This is the life Nora Sinclair has dreamed about, the life she's worked hard for, the life she will never give up. Meet Nora Sinclair.

When FBI agent John O'Hara first sees her, she seems perfect. She has the looks. The career. The clothes. The wit. The sophistication. The tan...more

The jacket of this book warns of revealing the ending. That is normal for anyone reviewing a thriller, but this book warns of revealing the beginning as well. So what can be said about this book?
First the author grabs your attention right from the start and weaves many plot twists into the story so that you find that you are held to your seat for the duration.
I will say that if you ever wanted to know what being on the wrong end of a scorned woman might feel like... well you had no idea. I...more

The very complex Nora Sinclair is faced with the age-old question of whom to kill first---her husband or her fiancé. Murder is the name of her game, having already poisoned her first husband and currently in the process of whipping up tainted entrees for her two latest conquests. Nora is beautiful, seductive, and totally enthralling to men. Capturing them is easy; the thrill comes with the murders and the transfer of their millions to her Cayman Island account.
Will Nora meet her match in FBI...more

Nora Sinclair is living the perfect life, she has a successful business as an interior designer, lives in a mansion in Boston, and is engaged to one of the wealthiest men around. But she's also married to another millionaire in NYC, and flirting with yet another, all while “in mourning” over the murder of her first husband. Either she's one heckuva polygamist or she's great at keeping secrets. It would seem that the latter is the truth. However, federal agent John O'Hara is on to her. He has...more

This was a really good suspense novel. I had read James Patterson's love stories which are very similar to Nicholas Sparks, so I decided to try one of his suspense novels. Each chapter went back and forth from different characters telling the story so that was fun. This is also one suspense novel where part of the book is actually written in first person by the "bad guy" whereas most are written in first person by the "victim" of a crime. So that was fun because I got to ...more

This stands out as one of the worst books I have ever read. Just a taste of the cheesiness within:

"Connor vs. Jeffrey. They were both so much fun. They made her laugh, made her feel special. And there was certainly no denying that they were wonderful in bed -- or wherever else they chose to have sex. They were tall, in wonderful shape, handsome as film stars. No, actually, they were more handsome than the film stars she knew. The fact was, Nora loved being with Connor and Jeffrey...more

This book is a bit different from your average mystery, you learn who the killer is right from the beginning and the rest of the story is just the uncovering of her past and the way the FBI has of catching her. But although everything is right in the open from the start I couldn't put the book down, I always wanted to know more, it was addictive. There were a couple of things I'd like to see explained though, the contents of the note Nora's mother sent to her and the reason why her father was mu...more

I found this book at my library sale for a quarter, and I thought it would be a perfect book to read for my 25th wedding anniversary trip to St. Lucia. I have never read a James Patterson book before, but it sounded very exciting and a sticker on the front said it was voted international thriller of the year (for I think 2006) I found it to be a real page turner, exciting, humorous and an easy read for the beach and pool. I enjoyed it so much I would like to read another James Patterson, and I...more

From a blog post I read in 2005:

James Patterson's latest, co-authored with Howard Roughan, is pretty much what one would expect. Short chapters, lots of action, crime fighting and plot twists. Of the latter, there was really only one that I didn't see coming. The main character is an FBI operative going undercover to investigate a possible serial killer. The hook is that the killer's a hot chick and she appears to be offing her husbands and boyfriends as an investment strategy.

Typical Pa...more

Like most of James Patterson's novels, this one was a fast-paced read that kept me on the edge of my seat. After the first murder committed by the main character, I found myself rooting for Nora and hoping she wouldn't get caught. Since she was mentally ill but highly intelligent and beautiful, I guess in a sick and twisted way, she became the victim in my eyes. James Patterson unexpectedly turned his antagonist into a hero of some sort, making me feel like a heel for not having any sympathy ...more

I picked this book up on a whim, I do enjoy a good mystery although they are hard to find. This book was good in that it kept me wanting to read, to find out what happens. However, it was a little dissapointing. First off, it does have a few "f" words in it, and a few sex scenes. Other than that it was pretty clean. The sex scenes where pretty short and not too bad. The main idea was good, but all the side story could have been left out. I dont want to give anything away, so I'll just ...more

Things aren’t always as they appear. Nora Sinclair, a beautiful women who fools everybody into thinking she really loved her husbands, has several FBI agents looking for her. Not only has she got herself caught up in many lies, she also falls in love with a FBI agent, leaving her no choice but to get caught. This novel is a great book; it’s weird to think the truth in the first sentence of the book: things aren’t always as they appear.

This sexy thriller is fast and entertaining. I enjoyed stacking this between some heavier reads to lighten things up. Nora Sinclair just oozes sex appeal, and I enjoyed reading about a female villan for a change. Women can have some fun being bad too! Some of the plot twists I had figured out in advance, but some truly did surprise me.

If you like a book with lots of suspense and lots of sexual tension (like I do!), you'll love Honeymoon.

I've been kind of disappointed by some of Patterson's more recent offerings, but this book pleasantly surprised me. It is about Nora Sinclair, who has amazingly poor "luck" with men... they keep dying on her. Nora arouses the interest of a certain FBI agent called John O'Hara, on more levels than one. I have to give Patterson - and co-author Howard Roughan - credit for keeping the plot twisting and the reader guessing until the very end.

I picked this book up in the resort library because I had forgotten to pack a quality book. Yes, I finished it, but that was because I didn't have a lot more options. A quick, easy read, it left nothing to talk about. If you like sex scenes, there are some. But it was lacking in mystery, suspense...well, really anything.

The upside: This book will make me remember to pack a book next time!

mmmmm.... i guess this book was lacking JB's usual style

even that he and his co-author used the short chapters and

srtaight events... i still didn't like it.. the plot was so

simple and week.. the motive for killing was money and revenge

and the nature of Nora the killer was not clear ...

the case- as i said- was simple no need for all these events

to find out who was she ...

This was just dreadful. Poorly written, cliched, starring possibly the most unrealistic characters I've ever come across. I only finished it because it was a very quick read - short sentences, short chapters. I'm dreading picking up the first book of the Women's Murder Club series now, but it's waiting on hold at the library for me. Perhaps the author's skills have improved.

This was my first Patterson book. I thought it was a very good book. It kept my attention and moved pretty quickly.
There was one thing that was different than most books I have read: the chapters were all around 2-3 pages. That made for a whole bunch of chapters (over 100) in an average sized book. But, to be honest, I actually like the short chapter set-up.

This novel was recommended to me by a co-worker because she absolutely loved it. It was a quick read. I believe I read it in about 5 hours. The story line was amazing and kept you on your toes, but their was way too much smut and language. This was my first experience with a murder mystery, and I decided that it isn't the genre for me.

Easy to read, great pace. Kept me reading until the end.

I wasn't overly excited with the ending, though.

I was able to guess where the plot was going every step of the way which I like personally (makes me feel smart hahah) but if you prefer more suspense and surprise in your reading, you may be not be as happy with this one.
