This poetic narrative with colored pen and ink drawings describes the antics of lizards at the reptile ball. Cleverly written with a glossary at the back, it will appeal to students who enjoy a mix of fiction and non fiction. It would be a nice addition to a reptile unit.

This book presents different types of reptiles that lived in different places through poetry. Each poem's rhythm evokes a feeling for the reptile. Also, this book demonstrated many different types of poetic form. I recommend this book because this book not only made me to use rhythmic reading but also made me to learn about different reptiles abound they world by the fun way. My favorite poetry in this book is the “Alligator Stomp” which used the stomping sound ‘Clump’ to make the poetry interes ...more

Ogburn's got range. I like this collection of poems as much as Judy Sierra's Antarctic Antics: A Book of Penguin Poems.
