Another must have I think for anyone wanting to put together – as I have – a good library on identifying southeastern plants. While it is not my first go to book, it is definitely one I consult on a regular basis, useful for anyone from Virginia south to Florida and west to eastern Texas.

The book skirts the edge of amateur friendly and for experts only at times, as some of the entries are a little technical, though to me if one is getting this book, one is interested in and becoming a bit more

This was a required book for one of my college classes, especially since one of the authors was my professor. This is an excellent guide to identify forbs, grasses,shrubs and vines. Clear color pictures, descriptions and wildlife uses make this a must have book for anyone in the southeast.
