Mundie Moms & Mundie Kids
This is a great educational story, with complimentary illustrations that teaches children the importance of recycling. The story is centered around a family who's dog is lost as he ran after the recycle truck. In their search to find him, they teach the reader all about recycling, from where items are recycled, how and what and can & can't be recycled. During their tour of the recycling center, I even learned a few new things and I grew up in the NW where recycling has always been a huge thi ...more

This book reminded me of the old Magic School Bus books in the way it was written and the illustrations.

The family in this book is trying to find their dog who has followed the Recycling truck. In the process of looking for their dog they learn about what can be recycled and where materials go after they are collected. The take a tour of a recycling center and learn how materials are sorted and what they are used for. This is an educational book and I learned a few things I didn't know. Too bad

I gave this book 5/5 stars. The illustrations were excellent. The story follows a family as they search for their dog. The dog loves to follow the recycle truck so they start off following the truck also. I liked how the story flowed from one location to the next. I think all children will enjoy the story and not even realize they are learning about how to recycle. A great book and perfect for any child who has questions about recycling.

My kids and I liked this book. We were interested before we read it and came out of it better informed. It is great for 3rd grade and up I think. My son was interested (5 years old) but I had to explain things a little further for him. My daughter is 9 so she got it. I am going to share it with her class for Earth Day at school.

Where Do Recyclable Materials go would be excellent to read when introducing recycling to students in grades k-5th or any age really. This book focuses on Georgia GPS standard S3L2 and a lesson could be done after reading this book through having students make a poster promoting recycling and the harms not recycling has on the environment.
