So this book gets 3.5 stars, not the best I've read when it comes to short story collections, but it did contain it's gems. My favorite was "The Old Silk Hat", I found it to be both creative and well written. A few others stick out in my mind, but not blatantly. Overall I would have to say this book is average, but well worth reading, due to the fact that even though the stories aren't all brilliant, they are all solidly written and there isn't a blatant stinker in the bunch which is super nice. ...more
