Page turning Tudor history told through the eyes of the women in Henry VIII's court. Once started I found these books hard to put down and got caught up in the gossip and intrigue of the Tudor court. Who's sleeping with who, who is trying to win favour and how, whose head is next on the block, and Henry's paranoia about threats to his power and ability to produce a male heir.

Fantastic series, thoroughly enjoyed it, the first Constant Princess was a bit hard to get into at the beginning but the Other Boleyn Girl was truly brilliant finished off superbly by the Boleyn Inheritance. If you love this era you will love these books.

I love Phillipa Gregory's ability to take history and make it an absolutely riveting read. Her books are easy reads, but substantive and real page turners. Not my usual fare, but I really enjoy these.

I love Philippa Gregory. She knows how to correctly detail history and make the dialogue look and sound real as if transporting you back in time to see this going on.

I could not put this series down. They are all equally as good. Phillipa Gregory is an amazing writer that makes you feel like you are part of the story.

I LOVE Philippa Gregory and this series is amazing. She makes the characters seem so human it's easy to see the actual historical person acting like that.

It is interesting and required we know and understand our genetics. Above all it is interesting to see the human side of these persons of history who shaped the destiny of England and much of Europe. And true, there are some fiction writings to fill in those unknown places of history but they are minor and almost automatic. It is so much fun to read of those...more
