mymilktoof.blogspot.com

and watch these teef discover bubble wrap.

awwww....

I found out about the existence of My Milk Toof through the customers of my bookstore several months ago (in the spring, to be precise). Practically everyone I met through the bookstore was raving about it. I didn't catch the hype, though, because I was either too busy being distracted by other things or I was just really dumb. Then last week, I opened the book at random, read the very first page and I fell in love.

My Milk Toof tells the story of a pair of baby teeth - ickle and Lardee - who cam...more

The Adventures of ickle and Lardee chronicles the lives and times of two adorable little teef (er, teeth). ickle (small, like his lower-case name indicates) is a bossy little authoritarian with a fondness for David Bowie, and Lardee is sweet-natured and kind, if rather gluttenous. This collection of photo comics captures stories like both ickle and lardee's separate arrivals to author's Inhae's house, a trip to a pool, Lardee's attempt to take a phone message, and ickle's efforts to get Lardee i...more

Finding Inhae Lee's blog was one of the highlights of my year. The cute and sometimes naughty little milk teeth, Lardee and Ickle, captivated me with all of their whimsical charm. I spent an entire Saturday morning reading every single one of Lee's vignettes that date back to 2009.

I received this book from a dear friend for my birthday. Many of the same adventures that were on the blog were also in the book with a couple of need additions. I think my only points of criticism is that there wasn'...more

ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE BOOK!! My daughter & I have read it at least 5 times since I purchased it yesterday (04/07/12)---the story of the two milk teeth, ickle & Lardee, who come back to live with their owner (the author), and their adventures :) The author has a definite point---'perhaps if we spent more time splashing through rain puddles and humming silly tunes, the world would be a much better place (at least for a little while)'. My worldview improved with reading this book, and my daug...more

This is so, so cute! Two adorably expressive little baby teeth come back to live with their owner. They are tiny and have tiny accessories like luggage, books, and clothes. All other things are full-size so part of the fun is seeing the little teeth next to furniture and other household objects. I especially love the part where they bake cupcakes. The teeth look so real in the photos it is completely believable that they are alive. Though this is in the adult section of the library, I think kids...more

You'll be done with the book within 10-20 minutes, but once you do, you'll be filled with "awws" for two weeks or so.

If there's ever an internet Walk of Fame, next to Nyan cat, Maru the Magnificent, xkcd, grumpy Tardar Sauce, Oatmeal, Pusheen (damn, there's so many cats), Totoro, Minecraft's Creeper, Angry Birds' Pigs, Darth Vader, Claptrap..ok, I know you all got the point but I'm diggin my mind here, alright? Ah yeah, I didn't finish the sentence. In all that mad crowd, Ickle and Lardee should...more

Do you know Ickle and Lardee? If not, go meet them right now. A lot of their stories can be found on the blog. This book contains their greatest adventures. The photographs are gorgeous and the writing (only a short sentence for every other picture) is to the point and funny. Ickle and Lardee are the cutest little tooth you'll ever meet.

I'm glad I checked this digital book out from the library - I would have been ticked if I paid for it.

I admit I knew nothing about ickle and Lardee before reading this book. It sounded like it might be a fun light read. But it wasn't. It just wasn't funny at all. Not even a little. In fact I don't think I laughed even once, not even a tiny laugh escaped.

So funny and cute! Two Milk Teeth (baby teeth named Ickle and Lardee) have come back to visit their human. They cook, take baths, read and relax....Cute pictures! My favorite part was when Ickle's baby teeth start coming in and he's nibbling on everything (even the corner of the door) and has to wear a cone to keep from nibbling on everything.

I am so happy that Kelly Ann shared this with me.
I am not entirely sure it can be called "a book".
However, as wonderfully, heartstoppingly cute as it is, it is also absolutely Art. Smart, considered, accessible, beautifully colored, character-rich art.
Read it if you get the chance!

Cutest. Book. Ever. This book was adorable. Two little baby teeth, ickle and Lardee, and their adventures in the home of author Inhae Lee. Divided into mini stories, this is one of the sweetest books i'd ever seen. if you ever find this book, read it. it is adorable.

if you like cuteness, photostories, miniatures, and anthropomorphization* of inanimate objects, this book is an obvious shoo-in.

* i don't know if anthropomorphization is really the right word here. anthroposynecdoche?

I've been a fan of My Milk Toof for years, and it's lovely to see it in book form, but the book definitely has a different feel from the My Milk Toof blog. Something about the size and layout of the images and type, I don't know. I'm glad I bought the book though, and I do hope there will be more books in the future. I just love ickle and Lardee so much, and as always, I look forward to following all of their adventures!

This book was hilarious. I thought that story was absolutely original, fresh and funny. I don't think that this book is especially made for children, but I think that they would enjoy it. Good stuff.
Sara
Earline and I read this at the circ desk during a very slow day at work. I've followed the blog for a while now, and while a few of the stories are the same, many of them are new.
Michael
Great coffee table book! Such a cute book. Could be used as a kids book and will be just as entertaining for the parent. Ickle and Lardee make an awesome team, check them out.
Jessica
I adore Ickle and Lardee! If you're a fan of the My Milk Toof blog you won't be disappointed. If you're not a fan, don't worry you will be.
