To a serious student of West India merchants in the 18th and 19th centuries.
I met the author online some time ago and began trading data. When I saw a review for this book I bought it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was surprised to find my name on p. xiii amongst a group that the author acknowledged for their help.
