I moved to Folly Beach, SC just a few months ago. Since moving, my bookshelves have become crowded with jars of shells! I can't resist their colors and shapes! I really love this book, as I've been using it to identify the shells I've collected and the wildlife I've seen. I checked it out from the library, but I'm probably going to buy a copy to keep for my own reference. I love the short, easy descriptions and the beautiful full-color pictures. Interesting and informative. For the curious, like me, it makes the beach all that much more satisfying and interesting.

Shelves: natural-history
Not a bad book for the casual beachcomber. Great for kids. Limited species coverage but does hit most of the common.
