At last, a Christmas story I haven't read before. Sandra Sookoo sets this ornament on a Christmas tree of a novel in Disenchanted Christmas. An elf kicked out off Santa's crew for his lack of spirit meets a down-on- her-luck young woman caring for her orphaned nephew in 1899 London. Bethany loses her home and her job and has nowhere to go. She meets Blake, the elf who lives with his secret past, alone except for an elderly nosey neighbor who may have more than a casual interest in his solitary l ...more

Clare's Review

What starts out as a business arrangement has unexpected consequences for both Bethany and Blake in this far from disenchanting Christmas story. Bethany is raising her orphaned niece and nephew. Blake is an elf thrown out of the Northern Realm until he can mend his ways.

Full of miracles, good cheer and plenty of love to go around, this short Christmas story is not one to be missed!

Sandra Sookoo is a bestselling author who firmly believes every person deserves acceptance and a happy ending. Most days you can find her creating scandal and mischief in the Regency-era, serendipity and happenstance in Victorian America or snarky humor in the contemporary world. Reading romance is a lot like eating fine chocolates—you can’t just have one. Good thing books don’t have calories!
