Like the song goes, "You ain't seen nothing yet"- the same goes for this series. After the previous volume Morgan has learned what the repercussions are for doing evil magic & that the punishment is far worse than anything that she could have imagined.

As the story progresses we see that someone is making a very rigorous attempt to kill Morgan & Hunter, and that someone is using non-magical means to do so! (Very clever since obviously they'd have detected magical interference.) With Sele

I don't know what it is about this series that I'm addicted to. As far as the writing goes, it's not very complex. The voice of the author is easy to read, and the story itself is simple and somewhat predictable. Yet, at the same time, I can't stop reading them. It might have something to do with the main character, Morgan, who over the course of the last six books has become well developed. Like the story, she isn't ov
Cal is backkkkkkkkkkk!! Selene is backkkkkkkk!! Oh boy, oh boy!! Not only is Cal back, but he's back to reclaim Morgan! He's still in love with her and has NOW left his mother Selene's side, in order to go back and help keep Morgan safe. Or has he? Can Morgan over come the feelings that she once had for Cal, in order to see the truth in all that is around her? Can she finally let go of Cal, and do what she has to do, in order to stop Selene and the black magic that she's threatening to unleash, ...more

This is by far one of my favorite series of books. The more I read about Morgan and her life the more it makes me want to read them. This book is probably my favorite by far because Hunter has always seemed better for Morgan than Cal was. Just knowing going into this book that he was going to be more of a major character peaked my interest.
You learn more about Morgans parents and how Maive and Angus died in this book. Also, the journal entries that begin each chapter are taken from Selene's jou

WoWW !! Just wow!! Loved it totally!! I am loving Wicca more and more. i have always loved Cate tiernan for her concepts. She not only tells a good story but also teaches us something valuable.

This book now dealt with Selene and Cal finding Morgan and about revenge.we come to know more about selene and about her life. I have always liked how the author can accomplish and tell us so much in one book and the way telling is beautiful.

Loved Hunter and morgan and how their relationship developed and

Okay, so heres the deal. I didnt know that the covers on books 1-6 were re-makes. I ordered books 7-15 at the customer service desk at B&N's, and when I got them I was dissapointed to see that the covers were different, and the books were also in various sizes.

I havent read any since book 6. I contacted the company that redid the covers, and they said they have no immediate plans to redo the rest of the covers in the series.

Although the love was finally done right (and it was great) this book still had many flaws. Let's start with what I thought was good! I liked the relationship between Hunter and Morgan I thought it progressed really naturally. I liked Cal's reappearance. That's pretty much it. Now the rest was bad. Why was it necessary to have Selena's journal entries? The other entries were vital because it shed light on backstory or even gave you perspective on what was going on at the time. Selena's

There is just no way that (view spoiler) I find it a little annoying how Morgan keeps hiding useful information from Hunter. Just tell the guy what you've seen/what you know already, without waiting a whole day first! I understand she's trying to protect the people she cares about but still, she's putting herself in danger by not opening her mouth right away. Besides that, it's fun reading about Morgan and Hunter ...more

Morgans Freunde
Morgan is a blood witch with a huge amount of innate power. Initially introduced to magick and then betrayed by her boyfriend Cal Morgan is now studying with Hunter Niall, a member of the Witches' Council. Her world has been a mix of darkness and light and she has been forced to confront dark magick. Now Hunter is having accident after accident and Morgan wonders what could be causing this chaos.

Holy crow! The end had me in tears. It was incredible. After Cal tried to kill Morgan I thought everything he told her he felt was a lie. He proved at the end that in his own way he did really care about her. When he first made an appearance and told her he broke off from his mom I was on Hunter's side. I didn't believe him at all. Then when he admitted to cutting the support beams at Hunter's house and the brake lines in his car I was certain he was still with Selene. Even after she saw what ha ...more
I bought the bound volumes I and II. I couldn't remember what happened in each book so could't write reviews without knowing what book i was referring to. So this review is based on volumes one and two. Cate Tiernan made a believable heroine coming into her power and her life as a whole. I loved how Morgan didn't dwell on her looks like a lot of cinderalla type chracters who find themselves transformed into a stroger person in power or in beauty or both. She was a plain Jane and felt self coscie ...more

Spellbound is the 6th book in Cate Tiernan's Sweep series

During the regularly scheduled circle time of Cirrus, Morgan finds that Sky and her coven Kithic are also there. Hunter and Sky have decided it would be a good idea to combine their two covens. In doing so, there would be 13 members in total. When this option is presented to the members of both covens, Morgan steps up and says that she feels it is a good idea.

After the circle meeting, Hunte

And so the plot thickens, where evil meets good and the two are confused, mixed up and jumbled. I can't even begin to imagine what I would do if I was in Morgan's situation, however when I think about it, I suppose we can all connect because we have all been in situations similar to this. I loved the way that the author worked on the relationship between Hunter and Morgan in this book because it was slow and showed how it was a sort of hate love relationship. This felt like a much more real base ...more
The Literary Bystander
In a nutshell: Hunter and Morgan are tip-toeing around their relationship, which has definitely become something more than Wiccan acquaintances. Not much plot, but more dealing with Morgan learning more about how to harness her powers, learning more about Wicca and investigate who is it that seems to be after Hunter.

Although this got really repetitive in both Awakening and this book; I liked the constant comparisons Morgan made between both Hunter and Cal - and how different her relationship w

Everytime I finish one of these books. The ending is so thrilling that I want to read the next inmediately. It's an inspiration to have it like that. Everytime again.

I think we finally did see the true characters of Hunter and Cal. They are so different from each other.
I think it was very difficult for Cal to break from Selene. I mean she was his mom. He was raised like that. If you see her book of shadows too. Her weapon. The poor boy.
Hunter too. He shows his emotions for Morgan. He doen't w

I forgot to review this one and then said that I was 75% finished with it on the 4th when I was really 75% finished with #7. I really don't remember when I finished it, so I'm just going to say it was the end of June. LOL

Anyway... as usual with sequels, I will make it short. This is one of my favorites so far, I think. The ending was brilliant, although I was hoping (view spoiler)

I literally only read this as a friend had got me the entire collection of Sweep since I had quite liked it when I was a younger teen. Now I'm almost 21 and this shit is just fucking garbage. I don't want to read another description of Morgan behemoth car or Bree's perky fucking tits.

No I fucking hate this series. I just want it to end.

CAL DIED AND ITS LIKE WHAT. i think he loved morgan in his weird way and was getting pretty close to turning crazy but i didn't want him to die this way. as for selene idk about her but she was evil. i wonder now what the other books will be about. but overall this Volume 2 was awesome. and I LOVE HUNTER HIM AND MORGAN FOREVER.
Loved it except that Tiernan really needs to quit repeating information. These books aren't published that far apart and if I don't know about Practikal Magick or what Cal did I probably shouldn't be reading this book. You don't have to constantly re-tell me everything.
Also, I don't know how the feel about Cal now...

Spellbound is a promising novel in the sweep series. It's a intriguing addition to the world of Morgan Rowlands. New love blossoms slowly and clumsily, just as old, bitter love reappears. Choices and sacrifices are made, even if some are small and tedious. Morgan can no longer sit on the sidelines in the world of magic- her magic is just too powerful. The hardships that go on through the novel are tantalizing as they are sad. As the characters plow through life with magic, they must tread forwar ...more
Wow what more can I say but wow.
I beleive this was a good book with a great ending. Very unexpected twist in the end I really didn't see that one comming. The whole book was fast moving and had action through with its mystery laced all throuhg out. I love the fact that Morgan has now gained knowledge and is able to protect herself. I really want to see what happens now between the connection that Hunter and Morgan have. I think they make a great couple and it would be a very powerful combinatio
Every time I get to the next book in the series, I wonder if it will be as good as the last. I should just accept that each book will be a great time. Love this series, and can't wait to read the next one!
This was a fun read, as were the other books in this series. I like the characters and the plot. The ending was unexpected and I like that there aren't many loose ends, but just enough to keep reading.

“What an amazing day," Bree said, stretching in her seat.
"Thanks to me and my weather charm." I said lightly. Robbie and Hunter both looked at me in alarm. "You didn't," Said Robbie.
"You didn't," Said Hunter. I was enjoying this. "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't."
Hunter looked upset. "You can't be serious!"
Cahn't, I thought. Cahn too.”
