Imagine listening to an interesting NPR podcast, that focuses on the gaming industry. Imagine it intended it for the adolescent audience. This is basically it- but in a book.

was expecting a bit more insight into the gaming industry and how it works but still this is a look a a group of diverse people who work in the Entertainment industry making the video games that we all enjoy.

Like any other entertainment field, it seems talent, luck, and networking play a prominent role in gaining access. Being willing to work for low wages and odd hours to get the On the job experience seemed a good way to get your foot in the door. There are several different fields you can try

Brenda Brathwaite and Ian Schreiber's guide to breaking into the video game industry suffers a bit in overall organization but manages to be a worthwhile read for greenhorns and vets alike as it contains a plethora of interesting info nuggets in a very easy to digest format. This book utilizes a Q&A format with 100 topics ranging from "what should I study in college?" to "Who is the most evil person on a game development team?"
