Ohmygosh, this blurb is one of the most touching ones that I have ever read. Despite the slightly discouraging rating, I feel so compelled to read it. Please, please don't let me be disappointed!

Rating 3.5 stars. I read other reviews and some were unable to get past all the different types of people in this book. I really didnt have that issue. My main problem was there wasnt a strong enough connection between the main characters. Obviously they have this soul deep connection because of Adrian and Shadoe but where does the love with Lindsay come from? Trying to read it, but I can't get into the story that much. Probably because there are so many September releases to be read.. XD
Something there reminded me of Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter novels. Just a little and after a few pages not anymore, but the connection between Angels and Vampires is there. (Although in Nalini's books Angels MAKE Vampires whereas in Sylvia Day's books the vampires apparently once were Angels who took human women/mates/whatever. his book ensnared me right from the beginning. I had to literally force myself to put it down when there were other things I needed to do. I don't want to use cliches while trying to let you know how good this book is, but it was captivating. I have read plenty of books about Angels, Lycans, and Vamps, but Sylvia take is unique compared to the books I have read in the past. Sylvia Day has once again written brilliantly, and has even thought of newbie readers with a detailed introduction into the paranormal world. There’s something for everyone – whether you like a bit of angel, lycan, demon or even vampire action. Day writes with such skill, she has you addicted to at least one character, making you want to know more about them.

I picked this book and its sequel off book depository after reading and thoroughly enjoying Sylvia's bared to you. After reading I almost think I need to go back and drop bared to you down a few stars because it really was not up to day's usual skill, well in comparison to this book anyways.

I think Sylvia Day is my new favorite romance author. I love this series. I read the novella A Dark Kiss of Rapture first and when I started this book, I wrongly assumed Raze would have a large role. Once I got over the ache of missing Raze, this story captivated me. (Don't worry Raze fans, he is in the book)

C2011: You know how some names just conjure up a certain image of a person? Somehow, your brain just associates a name with those people that you have met with the same name. I liked the story line. But it had too much swearing and sex scenes for me. The idea of head Angel swearing for me was bad.
Adrian was the head of Sentinels. They were too enforce the punishment of the Watchers or Fallen the Vampires. They had strict rules when they could kill the fallen and when not. Adrian had fallen in love with the lead Fallen's daughter Shadoe. Her father was in the process of bringing her over to be a vampire but Adrian killed her rather than see her become vampire....more

If you are a fan of Sylvia Day's work, like I am, you will love this new book. It's a book you'll hate to put down!
Adrian Mitchell is a character you have to feel sorry for right from the beginning. He has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. Within the first five pages the action begins and continues all the way until the last page.

I might be the only one that hadn't read Sylvia Day before, but I'm definitely glad that I had the chance to review this book from NetGalley. I liked the voice so much that I'm interested in reading from her backlist, including the historicals, something I feel will add a freshness to my reading lists. She writes very solid characters with a great deal of thought to backstory and development, each being based in a detailed and complex world that I found to be unique and original.

I wasn't sure how I would feel about this book when I started it (see sidenote below)... but I was determined to give it a shot as an ARC. Turns out, I really enjoying it! I felt like the origin/explanation of the angels, vamps, lycans, etc. could have been woven into the beginning of the story. I was not crazy about the dictionary at the front. I don't absorb the info/story when reading it in dictionary form, and its too hard to flip back to check the beginning when you are using an ereader.

I have to admit that I have not read much by Sylvia Day. This book changes that. It is the story of angels, sent to Earth to keep track of vampires (who are angels that have fallen). Even more confusing, the angels use lycans as their soldiers and security guards.

i was very intrigued when i first heard about this book. i have read about Sylvia Day before and have not read anything by her before.
