So far, I've really stayed away from the parenting books. I think I've read one, and wasn't a big fan. This one, however, I think everyone who has kids should read. I love it. It's my new bible. The main reasons why I love it are that it's based on sound psychological research, what's been shown in studies to be effective/ineffective in trying to teach your kids/talk with your kids/discipline your kids.
